POKER HALL OF FAME
Inducted 2014

Benjamin Tollerene built his reputation in some of online poker's toughest high-stakes games before becoming a regular presence in the world's biggest live tournaments. Known online as "Ben86" and "Bttech86," the American professional has developed an elite record across Pot-Limit Omaha and No-Limit Hold'em, highlighted by five Triton Poker titles and two Triton Main Event victories.

As of October 19, 2026, The Hendon Mob lists Tollerene with $38,882,118 in recorded live tournament earnings and a career-best cash of $3,766,000. The database ranks him 27th on its all-time money list at that time.

His live résumé does not include a World Series of Poker bracelet, but that statistic understates how close he has come at poker's highest buy-ins. Tollerene finished runner-up in the 2024 WSOP $250,000 Super High Roller for more than $3.5 million and has produced major victories on the Triton Poker Series and PokerGO Tour.

Who Is Benjamin Tollerene?

Benjamin "Ben" Tollerene is an American professional poker player whose career developed through high-stakes online cash games before expanding into super high roller tournaments around the world.

The Hendon Mob lists Fort Worth, Texas, as his birthplace and Vancouver, British Columbia, as his residence. PokerNews identifies Tollerene as a Pot-Limit Omaha cash-game specialist and lists "Ben86" and "Bttech86" as the online screen names most closely associated with his rise.

Those online roots remain an important part of his poker identity. Tollerene established himself in an era when nosebleed-stakes online cash games regularly brought together many of the strongest technical players in the game. His experience included high-stakes heads-up competition and extensive PLO play, disciplines that demand both mathematical precision and the ability to adjust quickly against sophisticated opponents.

Live tournament poker eventually became an increasingly important part of his career. Rather than remaining exclusively identified with online cash games, Tollerene developed into a high roller capable of winning in both PLO and No-Limit Hold'em.

From Online High Stakes to Live High Rollers

Tollerene's transition into major live tournaments produced results well before his recent Triton run.

In March 2017, he won the $50,000 PokerStars Championship Panama Super High Roller for $538,715. The victory came against a small but elite high-stakes field and provided an early example of his ability to translate his cash-game background into tournament success.

His live results continued to grow as six-figure buy-in tournaments became a more regular part of the international poker calendar.

The next phase of his career placed Tollerene among the recurring contenders on the Triton Poker Series, PokerGO Tour and World Series of Poker high roller schedule. Those events also demonstrated that his tournament range extended beyond the four-card game most closely associated with his online reputation.

Benjamin Tollerene's Triton Poker Titles

Tollerene has won five Triton Poker Series titles as of October 19, 2026.

His first came in Cyprus in 2022, where he won a $30,000 six-handed No-Limit Hold'em event. He added his second trophy in Monte Carlo in 2024 by winning a $50,000 six-handed PLO event for $1.07 million.

The largest PLO victory of his live career followed at Triton Montenegro in May 2025. Tollerene defeated a 93-entry field in the $100,000 PLO Main Event, beating Laszlo Bujtas heads-up and earning $2.39 million.

Triton Poker reported that the event was the largest $100,000 PLO tournament held to that point. The victory gave Tollerene his third Triton title and his first Triton Main Event championship.

That performance came only days after another enormous result in Montenegro. Tollerene and Jason Koon reached heads-up play in the $150,000 No-Limit Hold'em event and agreed to an ICM deal. Koon won the trophy, while Tollerene received $3,437,344 under the agreement.

The final also illustrated Tollerene's influence within poker's high-stakes community. Koon publicly described Tollerene as a longtime friend, mentor and inspiration whose approach to elite poker helped shape Koon's own development.

Second Triton Main Event Victory in 2026

Tollerene reached another career milestone at Triton Jeju in March 2026.

He won the $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, defeating Philip Sternheimer heads-up and earning $3,766,000. The tournament drew 178 entries and generated a $17.8 million prize pool.

The victory became the largest recorded live cash of Tollerene's career and gave him his fourth Triton trophy. It also made him a two-time Triton Main Event champion across two different disciplines: PLO in Montenegro and No-Limit Hold'em in Jeju.

The official Triton report confirmed that the Jeju victory was his fourth series title and second Main Event win.

Tollerene continued playing the Triton schedule after Jeju. Hendon Mob results show multiple cashes during the May 2026 Montenegro festival across No-Limit Hold'em, PLO and mixed NLH/PLO events, reinforcing his continued activity at the highest tournament buy-ins.

He added his fifth Triton title in the September 2026 Jeju II $50,000 Bounty Quattro. The official winner report records a 35-entry field and a heads-up victory over Daniel Rezaei. Tollerene received $412,000 in regular prize money plus $240,000 in bounties, for a combined $652,000.

WSOP Results and the Bracelet Question

Tollerene has yet to win a World Series of Poker bracelet despite several significant high roller finishes.

His closest call came in the 2024 $250,000 Super High Roller. Tollerene reached heads-up play against Santhosh Suvarna before finishing second for $3,537,135.

That result remains one of the largest tournament scores of his career.

Tollerene followed with another productive WSOP in 2025. His results included third place in the $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller for $914,634 and eighth place in the $250,000 Super High Roller for $581,411.

As of September 8, 2026, the WSOP player profile for Benjamin Tollerene lists zero bracelets and zero Circuit rings.

The World Poker Tour also lists no WPT titles.

For Tollerene, however, the absence of those traditional championship markers sits alongside a tournament résumé built heavily around super high rollers, Triton titles and some of the largest buy-in events in poker.

⠀

PokerGO Tour Success

Tollerene has also won major events on the PokerGO Tour.

During the 2024 Poker Masters, he won the $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em finale for $510,000. A month later, he captured the $25,200 PGT PLO Series II Championship for $496,000.

The PLO victory was particularly consistent with his longstanding reputation in four-card poker, while the Poker Masters title added another major No-Limit Hold'em result.

His PokerGO Tour player record also reflects deep finishes across both disciplines, including his WSOP high roller results and numerous PLO Series appearances.

⠀

Benjamin Tollerene's Playing Style and Reputation

Tollerene is most closely associated with technically demanding high-stakes poker.

His online career established him as a specialist in Pot-Limit Omaha and heads-up cash games, while his live tournament résumé demonstrates considerably broader range. He has won seven-figure tournaments in both PLO and No-Limit Hold'em and has reached major final tables against fields composed almost entirely of established high-stakes professionals.

Rather than being defined by one tournament circuit or format, Tollerene's career reflects an ability to compete across cash games, heads-up poker, PLO and modern super high rollers.

That versatility helps explain why his reputation within the professional community extends beyond his public tournament statistics. Koon's description of Tollerene as an important mentor is one example of the respect he has earned among players who have competed with and studied alongside him at the highest levels.

⠀

Career Earnings and Current Status

As of October 19, 2026, Hendon Mob lists Tollerene with $38,882,118 in recorded live tournament earnings.

His $3,766,000 victory in the 2026 Triton Jeju $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event is his largest recorded live cash. His other major seven-figure results include the 2024 WSOP $250,000 Super High Roller runner-up finish, the 2025 Triton Montenegro $150,000 No-Limit Hold'em runner-up result and the 2025 Triton $100,000 PLO Main Event victory.

The figures represent recorded gross live tournament cashes before buy-ins, expenses and taxes, rather than profit or net worth. They do not attempt to measure his complete cash-game career, where publicly available tracking is necessarily less comprehensive.

Tollerene remains active in elite live poker. His 2025 and 2026 results show continued participation across Triton, WSOP and PokerGO Tour events, with success in both No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha.

His career has therefore evolved from that of a celebrated online specialist into something broader: a high-stakes professional with five Triton titles, two Triton Main Event victories and more than $38.8 million in recorded live earnings.
