Calvin Shane Anderson is an American professional poker player from Yukon, Oklahoma. Hendon Mob lists his current residence as Las Vegas, Nevada.
Anderson became widely known in online poker under the screen name “cal42688.” His online record established him as a high-level tournament player years before some of his largest live accomplishments arrived.
PokerNews reported that Anderson accumulated 10 Spring Championship of Online Poker titles on PokerStars by 2018, setting a record at the time. His online success covered numerous formats rather than being concentrated exclusively in no-limit hold’em, an early indication of the mixed-game versatility that later became central to his WSOP career.

Calvin Anderson’s Early Tournament Career
Hendon Mob records Anderson’s first live tournament cash in October 2009, when he finished sixth in a no-limit hold’em shootout during EPT London for the equivalent of $2,468.
Over the following several years, Anderson produced results in both live and online poker. He cashed in major festivals including the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and World Series of Poker while continuing to build his reputation online.
His first WSOP breakthrough came in 2014.

First WSOP Bracelet in 2014
Anderson won his first bracelet in the 2014 WSOP $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better event.
The tournament attracted 588 entries and generated a $793,800 prize pool. Anderson defeated Joe Tehan heads-up and earned $190,538 for the victory.
That title established a pattern that would define much of Anderson’s WSOP career: success in games outside traditional no-limit hold’em.

Second Bracelet in the $10,000 Razz Championship
Four years later, Anderson captured one of the WSOP’s major mixed-game championship events.
He won the 2018 $10,000 Razz Championship, defeating a 119-entry field for $309,220. Frank Kassela finished second, while a final table filled with established mixed-game players included Julien Martini, Michael Leah, Jerry Wong, John Hennigan and Scott Seiver.
The victory gave Anderson his second bracelet and his first in a $10,000 WSOP Championship event.

Two Online Bracelets in 2023
Anderson expanded his bracelet collection during the 2023 WSOP Online series.
He won the $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Max event for $49,782 before adding another bracelet in the $5,300 No-Limit Hold’em Super High Roller 6-Max for $141,400.
Those victories pushed his career total to four WSOP bracelets and demonstrated the same cross-format ability that had characterized his earlier online career.

Calvin Anderson Wins the 2023 WPT Prime Championship
Anderson recorded the largest live tournament victory of his career in December 2023 at Wynn Las Vegas.
The official World Poker Tour results show Anderson winning the WPT Prime Championship for $1,386,280. The $1,100 event attracted 10,512 entries and generated a $10,196,640 prize pool, setting a WPT record for tournament entries at the time.
Anderson defeated Aaron Pinson heads-up, with Pinson earning $910,000 as runner-up.
The victory gave Anderson his first WPT title and showed that his tournament success was not limited to mixed games. He navigated a field of more than 10,000 entries in a no-limit hold’em event to record the defining live score of his career.

Fifth Bracelet in the 2024 Eight-Game Championship
Anderson’s 2024 WSOP provided further evidence of his mixed-game strength.
Before winning a bracelet, he finished third in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship for $197,582 and runner-up in the $10,000 Big O Championship for $454,668.
He then won Event #88, the $10,000 Eight Game Mixed Championship, defeating Dai Ishibashi heads-up. The tournament drew 189 entries, and Anderson collected $413,446 along with his fifth bracelet.
Winning an eight-game championship carried particular significance because the format requires players to compete across multiple poker disciplines rather than specialize in one game.
Anderson’s performance throughout the 2024 WSOP reinforced his standing among poker’s accomplished mixed-game tournament players.

Two More WSOP Bracelets in 2026
Anderson elevated his WSOP résumé again during the 2026 series by winning two $10,000 Championship events within three days.
He first captured the $10,000 Razz Championship on June 18, defeating a 155-entry field for $357,026. It was his second victory in that specific championship after his 2018 title.
Three days later, Anderson won the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship for $413,580.
The back-to-back championship victories increased his career total to seven WSOP bracelets.
Anderson was one of only two players, along with Nick Schulman, to have won five WSOP bracelets from 2023 through that point in 2026, according to PokerNews.
His 2026 WSOP run was not finished after the two victories. Anderson later reached the final three of the $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em Championship, finishing third for $445,268. The event attracted 558 entries.
That no-limit hold’em result added another dimension to a summer already defined by championship-level mixed-game success.
