⠀

Who Is Chenxiang Miao?

Chenxiang Miao is a poker player from China whose tournament record dates to at least 2009. Hendon Mob lists his residence as Shanghai, China, while official World Series of Poker records also identify him as representing China.

Miao has competed across a wide range of tournament formats. His recorded results include No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Big O, mixed Omaha formats and other variants, with notable performances ranging from Macau events early in his career to high rollers and WSOP bracelet events more than a decade later.

Some tournament coverage presents Chinese names in surname-first order. For example, official World Poker Tour coverage of his 2024 victory referred to him as Miao Chenxiang. Major poker databases and the WSOP currently list him as Chenxiang Miao.

⠀

Chenxiang Miao's Early Tournament Career

Miao's earliest result listed by Hendon Mob came in May 2009, when he finished third in a PokerStars Macau Poker Cup event. He continued recording results in Macau and Australia before producing a more substantial breakthrough in 2013.

In August 2013, Miao won the HK$20,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller at the Macau Poker Cup. Hendon Mob records the victory at HK$501,200, worth approximately $64,600 at the time. Later that year, he finished eighth in the Asia Championship of Poker Main Event in Macau for HK$594,000.

His 2014 results demonstrated an ability to compete successfully across both locations and poker variants. Miao won a Pot-Limit Courchevel turbo during the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final and finished runner-up in a Chinese Open Face event at the same festival. He also reached eighth place in the €25,500 EPT Monte Carlo High Roller for €136,900, then one of the largest scores of his career.

Those results established an international tournament record well before his later run of major scores in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

⠀

Major Poker Accomplishments

Miao's most significant results have come during two distinct periods of his career: his early success in Macau and Europe, followed by a resurgence at major Asian and international events beginning in 2024.

2024 WPT Korea Championship Victory

One of Miao's biggest career victories came in November 2024 at Jeju Shinhwa World in South Korea.

According to the World Poker Tour's official WPT Korea coverage, Miao defeated the championship field and earned KRW300 million for first place. WPT identified him as a player from Shanghai and reported that the festival attracted more than 2,100 entries across its full schedule.

The result was worth roughly $210,000 according to tournament databases and became one of the largest cashes of Miao's career.

The victory should not be confused with a traditional WPT Main Tour Champions Cup title. Available WPT and tournament database records do not list Miao as a WPT Main Tour titleholder.

2025 Triton ONE High Roller Win

Miao added another major title in September 2025 during the inaugural Triton ONE festival in Jeju.

He won the $20,000 One Day High Roller for $315,000, defeating Josh McCully heads-up. The event drew 56 entries and generated a $1,075,200 prize pool.

Triton's official event report noted that Miao had already cashed in the QQPK Genesis and reached the final table of the $10,000 Mystery Bounty before winning the high roller.

The $315,000 score became his largest recorded tournament cash at the time and demonstrated that he could compete successfully against established high-stakes players. The final table included Isaac Haxton and other players with extensive international high-roller experience.

Runner-Up at the 2026 World Series of Poker

Miao recorded the largest live cash of his career at the 2026 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

In Event #2, the $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em tournament, he advanced through a 570-entry field and reached heads-up play against Daniyal Gheba. Miao finished second for $335,290, while Gheba collected $502,985 and the bracelet.

The official WSOP results list Miao ahead of a final table that also included Xiaohu Liu and Tony Ren Lin.

The runner-up performance gave Miao his first recorded WSOP runner-up finish and surpassed his $315,000 Triton ONE victory as his biggest live tournament score.

Chenxiang Miao at the World Series of Poker

Miao does not have a WSOP bracelet or WSOP Circuit ring as of September 28, 2026.

His official WSOP player profile lists zero bracelets, zero Circuit rings, two final tables and 21 WSOP cashes, with $528,816 in WSOP-recorded earnings.

His 2026 WSOP was particularly active. Beyond finishing second in the $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event, he cashed repeatedly in both Hold'em and Omaha tournaments.

One of his other notable results came in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, where he finished 20th for $82,463. He also cashed in the $3,000 six-handed PLO, $1,000 Mystery Bounty PLO, $1,500 PLO Double Board Bomb Pot, $5,000 six-handed No-Limit Hold'em and several additional bracelet events.

That combination of Hold'em and Omaha results reflects the multi-format tournament experience visible throughout his career.

Career Earnings and Biggest Poker Scores

As of September 28, 2026, Hendon Mob lists Miao with $1,993,805 in recorded live tournament earnings.

His largest recorded cash is the $335,290 runner-up prize from the 2026 WSOP $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event.

Other major scores include:

  • $315,000 for winning the 2025 Triton ONE $20,000 High Roller in Jeju

  • KRW300 million for winning the 2024 WPT Korea Championship

  • €136,900 for eighth place in the 2014 EPT Monte Carlo €25,500 High Roller

  • $130,000 for 11th place in a $25,000 Triton Poker event in Jeju in September 2025

  • $82,463 for 20th place in the 2026 WSOP $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller

  • HK$623,600 for second place in the 2014 Macau Poker Cup High Roller

Poker earnings databases are updated as new results are reported, so Miao's career total and ranking will continue to change if he records additional cashes.

⠀

What Kind of Poker Does Chenxiang Miao Play?

Miao's tournament record does not support reducing him to a single poker format.

No-Limit Hold'em accounts for several of his largest accomplishments, including his WPT Korea victory, Triton ONE high-roller win and 2026 WSOP runner-up finish. At the same time, his record contains substantial experience in Pot-Limit Omaha and related variants.

His career includes cashes or victories in PLO, Big O, Courchevel and Chinese Open Face tournaments in addition to standard Hold'em events. At the 2026 WSOP alone, Miao cashed in multiple Omaha events and made the money in the $25,000 PLO High Roller.

That breadth makes tournament versatility a more supportable description of his record than assigning him a subjective playing-style label that cannot be independently verified.

⠀

Why Chenxiang Miao Matters in Tournament Poker

Miao's career is notable for both longevity and the timing of his biggest results.

His first recorded live cash dates to 2009, and he produced strong results in Macau and Monte Carlo during the early 2010s. After a comparatively limited number of recorded results in several subsequent years, he returned to prominent international competition and produced three of his defining accomplishments between late 2024 and mid-2026.

The WPT Korea Championship victory, Triton ONE high-roller title and WSOP runner-up finish came within approximately 19 months of one another.

His results also connect several parts of the international tournament circuit. Miao has recorded significant finishes in Macau, Monaco, Jeju and Las Vegas while competing in events associated with PokerStars, the World Poker Tour, Triton Poker and the World Series of Poker.

⠀

Chenxiang Miao's Current Poker Status

Miao remains an active tournament player based on his recent results.

His 2026 WSOP campaign included repeated cashes across No-Limit Hold'em and Omaha events, culminating in one of his strongest World Series performances. The WSOP's official 2026 Player of the Year standings placed Miao 37th with 1,847 points after the Las Vegas series.

The Global Poker Index listed Miao at No. 303 in its worldwide rankings on September 23, 2026. Rankings fluctuate from week to week and should not be treated as permanent measures of a player's standing.

With major victories in 2024 and 2025 followed by his career-best cash at the 2026 WSOP, Miao's recent tournament record represents one of the strongest stretches of his documented poker career.
