His biggest victory came at the 2026 World Series of Poker, where Ogita won the $1,000 Mini Main Event for $1 million. The result gave him his first WSOP bracelet and became the largest recorded live tournament cash of his career.
As of October 19, 2026, The Hendon Mob lists Ogita with $3,735,216 in live tournament earnings, a $1 million best live cash and residence in Tokyo, Japan. His recorded results span events in Asia, Europe, Australia and the United States.
⠀
Who Is Daisuke Ogita?
Daisuke Ogita is a Japanese poker player who has developed an international live-tournament career across major tours and festivals.
The Hendon Mob records tournament cashes for Ogita dating to 2018. His early results included events in Las Vegas, Manila, South Korea and Taiwan, and by 2019 he was producing larger scores in both Asia and the United States.
One of those early breakthroughs came during the 2019 DeepStack Championship Poker Series in Las Vegas, where he finished second in a $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em event for $155,860. During the same summer, he also cashed in the WSOP Main Event.
Ogita continued building his résumé internationally before a run of major victories beginning in 2023 moved him further into the spotlight.
⠀
Daisuke Ogita's Major Poker Accomplishments
Ogita's career has been defined by success in large international tournament fields rather than a single tour.
His most significant accomplishments include:
One WSOP bracelet, won in the 2026 $1,000 Mini Main Event
A career-best $1 million live tournament score
Victory in the 2024 APT Taipei Main Event
Victory in the 2023 €1,100 FPS Main Event at EPT Monte Carlo
More than $3.7 million in recorded live tournament earnings as of September 15, 2026
Major results in both No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha
According to his official WSOP player profile, Ogita has one WSOP bracelet and no WSOP Circuit rings as of September 2026.
⠀
2026 WSOP Mini Main Event Bracelet
Ogita reached the biggest milestone of his career at the 2026 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
He won Event #72, the $1,000 Mini Main Event, defeating a field of 12,560 entries to collect his first WSOP bracelet and the $1 million first prize. The official WSOP results list Ogita as the champion ahead of runner-up Jaehwa Son and third-place finisher Jeffrey Evans.
The victory was important for more than the bracelet. The $1 million payout surpassed every previous recorded live cash of Ogita's career and pushed his lifetime live earnings beyond $3 million.
PokerNews reported that the final day lasted approximately two hours, with Ogita defeating Son heads-up to complete the victory.
The tournament was played at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, with the WSOP's primary poker action centered at Horseshoe Las Vegas.
⠀
APT Taipei Main Event Champion
Ogita had already established himself as a major international tournament winner before capturing his bracelet.
In March 2024, he won the Asian Poker Tour Taipei Main Event at the CTP Asia Poker Arena.
The Asian Poker Tour reported that Ogita defeated a 1,182-entry field and earned TWD 12,944,020, worth approximately $410,000 at the time.
The victory gave Ogita one of the defining titles of his career and came in what the APT described as the richest poker tournament staged in Taiwan to that point.
Winning an APT Main Event also reinforced the international scope of Ogita's results. His résumé was no longer built primarily around deep finishes and secondary-event victories; he had captured one of Asia's major tour championships.
⠀
2023 FPS Monte Carlo Main Event Victory
Another major breakthrough came during the 2023 European Poker Tour festival in Monte Carlo.
Ogita won the €1,100 France Poker Series Main Event for €307,160 after defeating France's Rubens Sellam heads-up.
According to PokerNews coverage of the event, the tournament attracted a record 2,138 entries and generated a €2,052,480 prize pool.
The result was especially notable because Ogita had already won a €5,150 six-max event at EPT Paris earlier in 2023 for €111,000. The Monte Carlo victory turned that strong European run into a major championship season.
⠀
Success Beyond No-Limit Hold'em
Most of Ogita's largest results have come in No-Limit Hold'em, but his tournament record also includes meaningful Pot-Limit Omaha success.
In July 2024, he won a $1,600 Pot-Limit Omaha event during the ARIA Poker Classic in Las Vegas for $220,214. That score remains one of the largest recorded cashes of his career.
His more recent results also show continued participation in PLO. At EPT Barcelona in August 2026, Ogita cashed a €2,200 Pot-Limit Omaha event before later reaching the final table of a €3,150 six-handed No-Limit Hold'em tournament.
That range makes it more accurate to describe Ogita as a versatile live tournament player than to attach a narrow playing-style label unsupported by public evidence.
⠀
World Poker Tour Results
Ogita has also recorded results on the World Poker Tour, although he has not won a WPT Main Tour title.
His strongest WPT Main Tour finish came at WPT Australia in 2022, where he placed fourth for $152,215.
The World Poker Tour's official player page lists one Main Tour final table and no Main Tour victories for Ogita. It also records additional cashes in WPT Prime and WPTDeepStacks competition.
The fourth-place finish in Australia added another major-tour result to a résumé that would later include victories on the FPS, APT and WSOP stages.
⠀
Daisuke Ogita's Tournament Earnings
As of October 19, 2026, The Hendon Mob lists Ogita with $3,735,216 in live tournament earnings.
His largest recorded live cashes include the $1 million WSOP Mini Main Event victory, his approximately $410,000 APT Taipei championship and the €307,160 FPS Monte Carlo win.
Recorded tournament earnings are gross cashes rather than profit or net worth. Tournament earnings databases change whenever new results are added, currencies are converted or historical records are updated. The total should therefore be treated as a current snapshot rather than a permanent career figure.
The Hendon Mob also lists Ogita among the leading Japanese players by recorded live tournament earnings as of September 2026.
⠀
Daisuke Ogita's Playing Style and Tournament Range
There is not enough authoritative public analysis to assign Ogita a specific label such as loose-aggressive, tight-aggressive or mathematically driven without moving beyond verified information.
His results provide clearer evidence of his strengths.
Ogita has won large-field No-Limit Hold'em tournaments at several buy-in levels, produced major scores in six-handed events and demonstrated an ability to compete successfully in Pot-Limit Omaha. He has also accumulated results across different tournament environments in Asia, Europe and the United States.
That record points to tournament adaptability and experience across multiple formats without requiring unsupported claims about how he approaches individual hands.
⠀
Daisuke Ogita's Recent Results and Current Status
Ogita remained active on the international tournament circuit following his 2026 WSOP bracelet victory.
After winning the Mini Main Event in July, he recorded additional WSOP cashes before traveling to Spain for EPT Barcelona in August.
The Hendon Mob lists three Barcelona cashes for Ogita during that festival, including a sixth-place finish in the €3,150 six-handed No-Limit Hold'em event on August 29 for €19,410. He also cashed the €2,200 Pot-Limit Omaha event and the €1,650 PokerStars Open Main Event.
Those results show that his bracelet victory was not the end of his 2026 tournament activity. As of September 15, 2026, Ogita remains an active international tournament player.
⠀
Why Daisuke Ogita Matters in Poker
Ogita's significance comes from the combination of his international reach and the scale of his major victories.
He has won important tournaments in Europe, Asia and the United States, including an FPS Main Event, an APT Main Event and a WSOP bracelet event. Few tournament careers develop through major victories across that many different poker markets.
The 2026 WSOP bracelet elevated his résumé further by adding poker's most recognizable tournament honor to a record that already contained significant championship wins.
For followers of Japanese tournament poker, Ogita has also become one of the country's more successful players by recorded live earnings, while continuing to compete regularly outside Japan.
