Dan Sepiol's 2023 WPT World Championship Victory
Sepiol won the 2023 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas for a deal-adjusted $5,282,954 award. He and Georgios Sotiropoulos made a heads-up deal, and the WPT's final-hand report specifies that Sepiol's award included a $10,400 seat into the following year's championship. The $10,400 tournament attracted 3,835 entries and carried a $40 million guaranteed prize pool.
The final table included several accomplished professionals, including Andrew Lichtenberger, Ben Heath and Georgios Sotiropoulos. Sepiol ultimately defeated Sotiropoulos heads-up to become a member of the WPT Champions Club.

WPT Alpha8 Title and Other Major Results

In July 2024, he won a $25,000 WPT Alpha8 Trifecta event at Wynn Las Vegas. The WPT lists his first-place payout at $672,000. That gave Sepiol victories in both a WPT Main Tour championship and a WPT Alpha8 event.

Dan Sepiol's Tournament Career and Playing Reputation
Sepiol's results establish him primarily as a tournament professional with extensive no-limit hold'em experience. His résumé ranges from mid-major events to championship tournaments and high rollers, with victories on the MSPT, WPT, WSOP and WPT Alpha8 stages.
Several of his most important victories have also involved major comebacks. He recovered from a significant heads-up deficit against Chance Kornuth in the 2023 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, survived another large deficit against Robert Natividad while winning his WSOP bracelet and navigated a demanding WPT World Championship final table.
Those results demonstrate a record of success across different tournament structures rather than dependence on a single championship score.

Those results confirm that Sepiol remains an active tournament professional several years after his WPT World Championship breakthrough.
⠀
Why Dan Sepiol Matters in Poker
Sepiol's career is notable because his rise did not end with one life-changing result.
Winning the 2023 WPT World Championship gave him one of poker's major championship titles and a payout of more than $5.28 million. Within the following year, he added a WSOP bracelet and a WPT Alpha8 victory, strengthening a résumé that already included an MSPT championship and a major Seminole Hard Rock title.
By September 2026, he had accumulated nearly $10 million in recorded live tournament earnings while continuing to compete across major tours.
Sepiol therefore represents more than a player associated with a single championship. His results before and after the WPT World Championship show sustained success across different tournament levels, venues and formats.
