POKER HALL OF FAME
Inducted 2014

David Orlando is an American tournament poker player from Washington Township, Michigan, whose live results have grown rapidly since his first recorded Hendon Mob cash in 2024. His résumé includes a deep run in the World Series of Poker Main Event, a final table at WSOP Paradise, a fifth-place finish in a WSOP Circuit Main Event and several significant Mid-States Poker Tour results.

As of August 31, 2026, Hendon Mob lists David Orlando with $163,715 in recorded live tournament earnings and a career-best cash of $84,159. Because live tournament databases are continually updated, those totals can change as additional results are recorded.

Who Is David Orlando?

David Orlando is a United States poker player based in Washington Township, Michigan. His publicly recorded tournament résumé has been built primarily in No-Limit Hold'em events, with results at the WSOP, WSOP Circuit and MSPT.

Orlando's recorded live tournament history is relatively recent. Hendon Mob currently shows results beginning in 2024, but he quickly progressed from a strong regional finish in Michigan to deep runs on some of poker's larger stages.

His tournament record does not support assigning him a widely recognized nickname, sponsorship or specific playing-style label. His results instead show a player who has successfully competed across regional championships, international WSOP Circuit competition and major World Series of Poker events.

David Orlando's Breakthrough at MSPT FireKeepers

One of Orlando's first major recorded results came at the May 2024 MSPT FireKeepers Main Event in Battle Creek, Michigan.

The $1,110 No-Limit Hold'em event attracted 2,717 entries. Orlando finished 11th for $31,608, according to official MSPT results.

That score established Orlando on the regional tournament scene and remained his largest recorded live cash until late 2025.

The FireKeepers result also began a recurring connection between Orlando and MSPT competition. He returned to FireKeepers in October 2025 and cashed the MSPT Spade Championship Main Event, then added another MSPT cash at the 2026 Michigan Poker State Championship.

Fifth Place in the 2025 WSOP Circuit Montreal Main Event

Orlando recorded the largest tournament score of his career at the WSOP International Circuit stop at Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec, in November 2025.

The C$2,500 WSOP Circuit Main Event drew 1,483 entries and generated a prize pool exceeding C$3.2 million.

Orlando reached the final table and finished fifth for C$117,900, which Hendon Mob converted to $84,159 for its tournament database. That remains his largest recorded live tournament cash as of August 31, 2026.

The result was particularly significant because it represented a major jump from Orlando's previous best score and placed him deep in one of the largest WSOP Circuit Main Events on his résumé.

Orlando did not win the event's WSOP Circuit ring. Kliment Tarmakov ultimately won the tournament, while Orlando's fifth-place finish became the centerpiece of his live results record.

WSOP Paradise Final Table

Only one month after his Montreal run, Orlando reached another major final table during the 2025 WSOP Paradise series at Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.

He finished eighth in Event #15, the $2,500 The Closer Turbo Bounty, earning $13,700 from a 509-entry field.

Official WSOP live reporting documented Orlando's run to the final eight. During the late stages, he eliminated François Billard after turning a full house, helping him build a stack of more than five million chips.

Orlando was eventually eliminated by Imari Love. Orlando defended the big blind with seven-six and flopped two pair on a 7-6-4 board, but Love held pocket queens. The board paired twice on the turn and river, giving Love a superior two pair and ending Orlando's tournament in eighth place.

Love went on to win the event and his first WSOP bracelet.

Orlando's final-table appearance did not earn him a bracelet, but it added an international WSOP result to a résumé that had already expanded significantly during 2025.

David Orlando at the 2026 WSOP Main Event

Orlando added another important career result during the 2026 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

He cashed the $10,000 WSOP Main Event World Championship, finishing 681st out of 9,208 entries for $25,000.

The result was Orlando's first recorded WSOP Main Event cash. It also showed continued activity at the highest-profile live tournament series after his WSOP Paradise final table in December 2025.

PokerNews coverage from Day 4 of the Main Event listed Orlando with 1,227,000 chips at one stage of the tournament, illustrating that his run extended well beyond simply reaching the money.

His eventual $25,000 payout became his largest recorded cash of 2026 through August 31.

MSPT Results and Michigan Connection

Orlando's tournament record remains closely connected to Michigan and the Mid-States Poker Tour.

After his 11th-place finish at FireKeepers in 2024, he returned to the property for additional MSPT events.

In October 2025, Orlando placed 156th in the $1,110 MSPT Spade Championship Main Event for $2,955.

He followed that result with a 117th-place finish in the May 2026 MSPT Michigan Poker State Championship, earning $3,703 from a field of 2,551 entries.

Later in 2026, Orlando also finished 121st in the MSPT Illinois Poker State Championship at Rivers Casino for $2,590.

These regional results are smaller than his WSOP and WSOP Circuit scores, but they demonstrate continued tournament activity rather than a career built around only one or two isolated deep runs.

David Orlando's Career Earnings

As of August 31, 2026, Hendon Mob lists Orlando with $163,715 in live tournament earnings from seven recorded cashes.

His annual Hendon Mob totals are:

  • $31,608 in 2024

  • $100,814 in 2025

  • $31,293 in 2026 through August 31

His largest recorded cash is the $84,159 equivalent he earned for fifth place in the 2025 WSOP Circuit Montreal Main Event.

Tournament earnings databases should not be interpreted as a player's profit. They generally track gross tournament payouts and do not deduct buy-ins, travel expenses, taxes, staking arrangements or other costs associated with playing live poker.

Orlando's recorded tournament results are concentrated in No-Limit Hold'em.

His notable finishes have come in large-field championship events, including MSPT Main Events, a WSOP Circuit Main Event, the WSOP Main Event and the turbo bounty event in which he reached the final table at WSOP Paradise.

There is not enough reliable public information to characterize Orlando as an aggressive, tight-aggressive, mathematical or exploitative player. Assigning a specific style based only on tournament finishes would require speculation.

His results do establish him as an active live tournament competitor capable of advancing deep in large No-Limit Hold'em fields.

Does David Orlando Have a WSOP Bracelet or Circuit Ring?

Orlando's recorded results through August 31, 2026 do not include a WSOP bracelet victory or a WSOP Circuit ring win.

Both results were major career achievements, but neither was a title-winning finish.

David Orlando's Current Poker Status

Orlando remained active in live tournament poker during 2026.

His results that year included cashes at the MSPT Michigan Poker State Championship, the WSOP Main Event and the MSPT Illinois Poker State Championship.

That schedule followed a strong 2025 in which he recorded more than $100,000 in Hendon Mob earnings and reached major final tables in consecutive months at the WSOP Circuit Montreal stop and WSOP Paradise.

As of August 31, 2026, there is no reliable public evidence that Orlando has retired or stepped away from tournament poker. His recent WSOP and MSPT results instead show continued participation on the live circuit.
