POKER HALL OF FAME
Inducted 2014

Harrison Gimbel has built a tournament career around victories on three of poker's major stages. The American professional won the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event, captured the 2016 WPT Rolling Thunder title and added his first World Series of Poker bracelet in 2017.

Those three victories made Gimbel a member of poker's unofficial Triple Crown club: players who have won a European Poker Tour Main Tour title, a World Poker Tour Championship Event and a WSOP bracelet. His biggest individual score remains the $2.2 million he earned by winning the PCA Main Event at age 19.

Gimbel has continued adding significant results well beyond those early career-defining victories. He won the 2025 Wynn Millions $3,000 Championship for $455,388 and recorded multiple live tournament cashes during the 2026 Las Vegas summer. As of September 2026, The Hendon Mob lists Gimbel with more than $5.78 million in live tournament earnings.

⠀

Who Is Harrison Gimbel?

Harrison Gimbel is an American professional poker player from Jupiter, Florida. He established himself in live tournament poker while still a teenager and developed into a No-Limit Hold'em tournament specialist with results spanning major events in the United States, the Bahamas and Europe.

Gimbel's connection to poker started well before his breakthrough on the international tournament circuit. A PCA final-table biography published by The Hendon Mob reported that he began playing at age 13 while accompanying his older brother to home games.

By 2009, Gimbel was already producing meaningful live results. He won the Florida State Poker Championships Main Event in Pompano Beach for $67,860, providing an early indication of the tournament career that would follow.

Harrison Gimbel Wins the 2010 PCA Main Event

Gimbel's career changed dramatically at the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

He entered the $10,000 Main Event after winning his seat in a $1,000 live satellite the day before the tournament began. The event attracted 1,529 entries, creating one of the largest stages in live poker at the time.

Gimbel was only 19 when he reached the final table. He ultimately defeated Tyler Reiman heads-up to win the championship and $2.2 million.

The victory was significant for more than its seven-figure payout. The PCA was part of the European Poker Tour, giving Gimbel an EPT Main Tour title that would eventually become the first component of his poker Triple Crown.

The $2.2 million payday remains Gimbel's largest recorded live tournament cash.

WPT Rolling Thunder Adds Another Major Title

Gimbel spent the years after his PCA breakthrough accumulating results across major tournament series rather than disappearing after one enormous score.

His World Poker Tour breakthrough came in March 2016 at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in California.

Gimbel navigated a field of 409 entries in the WPT Rolling Thunder Main Event and reached heads-up play against Mohsin Charania. The final duel lasted 115 hands before Gimbel secured the championship.

The victory paid $275,112, including his entry into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions, and placed his name on the WPT Champions Cup.

It also gave Gimbel the second major title he needed for the Triple Crown.

Harrison Gimbel Wins His First WSOP Bracelet

The final piece arrived at the 2017 World Series of Poker.

Gimbel entered the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em event alongside 1,348 other entries. After returning for the final day among the shorter stacks, he survived a long and volatile session to reach heads-up play against Chance Kornuth.

Gimbel recovered from a deficit during the heads-up match and eventually defeated Kornuth to win $645,922 and his first WSOP bracelet.

According to the WSOP, Gimbel held pocket queens against Kornuth's pocket tens on the final hand, with the queens holding to secure the title.

The bracelet completed Gimbel's poker Triple Crown.

Harrison Gimbel's Poker Triple Crown

Poker's Triple Crown is an unofficial distinction awarded to players who have won titles across three historically important tournament organizations:

  • A World Series of Poker bracelet

  • A World Poker Tour Championship Event

  • A European Poker Tour Main Tour title

Gimbel completed the achievement with his 2017 WSOP victory after previously winning the 2010 PCA Main Event and 2016 WPT Rolling Thunder.

The World Poker Tour reported in a 2023 feature that Gimbel was one of only nine players at that time to have completed that version of the Triple Crown.

His three qualifying victories also illustrate the longevity behind the accomplishment. Seven years separated his PCA championship from the bracelet that completed the set.

⠀

Major Tournament Accomplishments

Gimbel's career includes major victories across several eras of tournament poker.

  • 2009 Florida State Poker Championships Main Event winner for $67,860

  • 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event champion for $2.2 million

  • 2010 Fall Poker Open Championship winner for $330,000

  • 2016 WPT Rolling Thunder champion for $275,112

  • 2017 WSOP $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em bracelet winner for $645,922

  • Poker Triple Crown completed in 2017

  • 2025 Wynn Millions $3,000 Championship winner for $455,388

  • More than $5.78 million in recorded live tournament earnings as of September 2026

The PCA victory remains his largest cash, while the WPT and WSOP wins established his record across multiple major tours.

⠀

Tournament Style and No-Limit Hold'em Focus

Gimbel's results identify him primarily as a No-Limit Hold'em tournament player. His PCA championship, WPT title, WSOP bracelet and Wynn Millions victory all came in No-Limit Hold'em events.

He has also described himself specifically as a tournament player. In a 2023 World Poker Tour interview about his Florida poker roots and Triple Crown career, Gimbel said that he grinds tournaments and does not generally play cash games.

His longevity is reflected in the range of fields in which he has succeeded. Gimbel has won large-field events, survived deep major-championship structures and accumulated results across both regional and international tournament schedules.

⠀

2025 Wynn Millions Championship Victory

Nearly eight years after completing the Triple Crown, Gimbel added another substantial championship to his résumé.

He won the 2025 Wynn Millions $3,000 Championship in Las Vegas for $455,388. Gimbel defeated Cecile Ticherfatine heads-up after navigating a final table that also included Cole Ferraro and 1983 WSOP Main Event champion James Bechtel.

The result demonstrated that Gimbel remained capable of converting deep runs into major tournament victories well into the next phase of his career.

⠀

Harrison Gimbel's Live Tournament Earnings

As of September 2026, The Hendon Mob lists Gimbel with more than $5.78 million in live tournament earnings. The database lists his $2.2 million PCA championship payday as his largest live cash.

Tournament earnings are cumulative statistics that change whenever a player records additional qualifying results, so Gimbel's career total should be treated as a point-in-time figure rather than a permanent number.

The WSOP separately lists more than $4.1 million in earnings associated with events contained in its current player database, along with one bracelet and no WSOP Circuit rings. Those figures cover a different results universe than The Hendon Mob's broader live tournament database.

⠀

Harrison Gimbel's Recent Poker Results

Gimbel remained active on the live tournament circuit in 2026.

During the 2026 Wynn Summer Classic, he finished 18th in a $3,500 No-Limit Hold'em event for $21,591 and also cashed in a $1,600 event for $4,336.

At the 2026 World Series of Poker, he finished 38th in the $1,500 Millionaire Maker for $40,200. He also cashed in the $1,700 U.S. Circuit Championship and the $1,000 Mini Main Event during the series.

Those results followed his 2025 Wynn Millions championship and provide current evidence that Gimbel continues to compete in major live No-Limit Hold'em tournaments.

⠀

Why Harrison Gimbel Matters in Poker

Gimbel's career is distinguished by the combination of an unusually early breakthrough and sustained tournament success.

Winning the PCA Main Event at 19 immediately placed him on the international poker map, but his later results gave that victory broader significance. The WPT Rolling Thunder championship and WSOP bracelet showed that his success extended across different tours and stages of his career.

Completing poker's Triple Crown placed him in a small group of players with victories across the WSOP, WPT and EPT. His 2025 Wynn Millions championship and 2026 cashes further extended a live tournament record that began with significant results in 2009.

Rather than being defined solely by one $2.2 million score, Gimbel has assembled a career spanning major championships, large-field victories and more than $5.7 million in recorded live earnings.
