POKER HALL OF FAME

The American professional is a WSOP bracelet winner, a two-time WPT champion and a five-time Circuit ring winner, with major victories stretching from the early 2010s into the 2020s.
As of September 2026, Hendon Mob lists Eyster with $5,732,735 in live tournament earnings and a career-best live cash of $1,587,382. Those figures can change as new results are recorded. His biggest accomplishments include victories at the 2013 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, the 2014 WSOP and the 2015 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic.
⠀
Who Is Kevin Eyster?
Kevin Eyster is an American tournament poker professional from Lafayette, Louisiana. Hendon Mob lists Denver, Colorado, as his residence, while his recorded live tournament results date back to 2007.
Eyster developed a strong reputation in online poker before his biggest live victories arrived. World Poker Tour coverage of his 2013 breakthrough described him as a respected online professional, and his tournament record shows success across several forms of no-limit hold'em, including heads-up, six-handed and full-ring events.
His career has been defined by longevity as much as peak results. More than a decade after winning his first WPT championship, Eyster remained active at major live series and returned to a WSOP final table in 2026.
⠀
Kevin Eyster's Early Tournament Career
Eyster's first recorded Hendon Mob live cash came in August 2007 at the Empire State Hold'em Championships at Turning Stone Resort Casino.
His results expanded significantly by 2010. He finished runner-up in a six-handed no-limit hold'em event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for $65,765 and later placed 16th in the European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Grand Final Main Event for $79,876.
That August, Eyster won a €3,200 heads-up event during EPT Tallinn for €41,000, worth approximately $54,342 in Hendon Mob's historical record. The victory was an early example of his success in short-handed formats.
By the time Eyster began breaking through on major U.S. tours, he had already accumulated years of tournament experience in both the United States and Europe.
⠀
First WPT Title at the 2013 Seminole Hard Rock Showdown
Eyster's first major live championship came in April 2013 at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in Hollywood, Florida.
He entered the final table with the chip lead and ultimately defeated a 542-entry field to win $660,395. The victory made him a member of the WPT Champions Club and represented his first WPT title.
According to the official World Poker Tour results, Eyster defeated Ben Tarzia heads-up for the championship. The final hand ended with Eyster making two pair, aces and tens.
The result established Eyster as a major live tournament champion after years of online and live success.
⠀
Kevin Eyster's WSOP Bracelet
Eyster added World Series of Poker gold to his résumé in June 2014.
He won the $5,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2014 WSOP, defeating a 541-entry field and earning $622,998. The tournament required an unscheduled fourth day before Eyster completed the victory.
The win was particularly fitting given his previous short-handed success. Six-handed poker reduces the number of players at the table and generally creates more frequent situations in which competitors must play wider ranges and contest pots aggressively.
The World Series of Poker's account of Eyster's bracelet victory documented the win as his first WSOP bracelet.
As of September 2026, the WSOP player database lists Eyster with one bracelet and five WSOP Circuit rings.
⠀
Second WPT Championship at Bellagio
Eyster recorded the largest live tournament cash of his career in December 2015 when he won the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic at Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The $10,400 championship attracted 639 entries. Eyster defeated Bill Jennings heads-up and collected $1,587,382, including his entry into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.
The victory gave Eyster his second WPT championship. His first had come at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in 2013.
The World Poker Tour's Kevin Eyster results page lists two WPT victories and more than $2.7 million in WPT winnings. The Five Diamond score remains the largest live cash recorded on his Hendon Mob résumé as of September 2026.
Winning major WPT championships at two established tournament destinations, combined with his WSOP bracelet between those victories, gave Eyster a three-year stretch featuring three of the defining titles of his career.
⠀
Kevin Eyster's WSOP Circuit Success
Eyster has also accumulated significant results on the WSOP Circuit.
His Circuit résumé includes victories in different eras and locations. In 2018, he won a six-handed no-limit hold'em event at the Hard Rock Tulsa stop for his third Circuit ring. In 2019, he added a fourth by winning a $1,125 no-limit hold'em event at The Bicycle Casino.
Eyster reached five career rings in March 2024 when he won the $2,200 High Roller at the WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Hammond series. He defeated a 59-entry field and earned $39,069.
As of September 2026, WSOP lists Eyster with five Circuit rings in addition to his bracelet.
⠀
Career Earnings and Major Accomplishments
Hendon Mob lists Kevin Eyster with $5,732,735 in live tournament earnings as of September 2026. Tournament databases can differ in what results they count, and career totals can change whenever new cashes are added.
His major live accomplishments include:
One WSOP bracelet
Five WSOP Circuit rings
Two World Poker Tour titles
2013 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown champion for $660,395
2014 WSOP $5,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em champion for $622,998
2015 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic champion for $1,587,382
2010 EPT Tallinn heads-up event winner
More than $5.7 million in recorded live tournament earnings as of September 2026
His $1,587,382 Five Diamond victory remains his largest recorded live tournament cash.
⠀
Playing Style and Tournament Strengths
Eyster's results provide the clearest evidence of his tournament strengths. He has repeatedly succeeded in no-limit hold'em and has major victories in six-handed and heads-up formats as well as large-field championship events.
WSOP described Eyster as a six-max specialist when he won his third Circuit ring at Hard Rock Tulsa in 2018. That description is supported by his most important WSOP victory: his 2014 bracelet came in the $5,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event.
His career also demonstrates an ability to convert deep runs into championships. Eyster entered the 2013 WPT Seminole Hard Rock final table with the chip lead and completed the victory, then added another WPT title at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic two years later.
Rather than relying on subjective labels about his playing style, Eyster's record shows a tournament professional with proven success across different field sizes, structures and stages of no-limit hold'em competition.
⠀
Kevin Eyster's 2026 WSOP Monster Stack Final Table
Eyster remained a factor in major live tournaments in 2026.
He made a deep run in the $1,500 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2026 World Series of Poker, a tournament that attracted 11,933 entries. Eyster advanced to the final table as the chip leader with 126.7 million chips.
His run ended in seventh place for $240,000.
The result was significant because it came 12 years after his WSOP bracelet victory and more than a decade after his two WPT championships. It also became one of the largest live cashes of his career outside his three signature WPT and WSOP victories.
The 2026 Monster Stack performance demonstrated that Eyster remained active and capable of making deep runs in major championship fields well into the second decade of his live tournament career.
⠀
Why Kevin Eyster Matters in Poker
Eyster's career connects two important parts of modern tournament poker: the generation of players who developed through online competition and the live tournament circuit where major titles remain the most visible career milestones.
He established himself online before breaking through at major live events, then collected championships across three prominent tournament brands. His résumé includes WPT titles in 2013 and 2015, a WSOP bracelet in 2014 and five WSOP Circuit rings.
That combination separates his career from players known primarily for one major score. Eyster has won major tournaments in different years, venues and formats while continuing to record results long after his initial breakthrough.
His 2026 Monster Stack final table extended that record of relevance and showed that his career remains active rather than existing only as a collection of accomplishments from the poker boom and post-boom eras.
⠀
Kevin Eyster's Current Poker Status
As of September 2026, Eyster remains an active tournament player.
His 2026 World Series of Poker results included the seventh-place Monster Stack finish for $240,000, along with additional recorded cashes during the series. Hendon Mob continues to list tournament results for him, while WSOP records one bracelet and five Circuit rings and WPT records two tour championships.
With live tournament results dating from 2007 through 2026, Eyster has compiled nearly two decades of recorded tournament activity. His career is anchored by three major championship victories—the 2013 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, the 2014 WSOP $5,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event and the 2015 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic—while his recent results show continued participation at the game's major series.
