Schemion followed his 2012 breakthrough with one of the strongest tournament seasons of his career in 2013.
He reached numerous final tables throughout the year and produced results at major stops including the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo, EPT Barcelona and EPT Prague.
The season culminated with Schemion winning the 2013 Global Poker Index Player of the Year race. He finished ahead of a field of elite competitors that included Daniel Negreanu, Paul Volpe, Bryn Kenney and David Peters.
Schemion subsequently rose to No. 1 in the overall Global Poker Index rankings. His run near the top helped establish him as one of the defining European tournament players of that period.

EPT and High-Roller Success
European Poker Tour festivals became an important part of Schemion's tournament résumé.
During EPT Season 10, he accumulated a series of strong results and won the season's EPT Player of the Year honor. His performances included a victory in the EPT Sanremo High Roller and multiple deep runs against high-stakes fields.
One of his largest career victories came at the 2016 EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo.

Ole Schemion's WPT Victories
Schemion added a major World Poker Tour championship to his record in January 2018.
He won the WPT European Championship at Spielbank Berlin, defeating a 339-entry field to collect €218,435, reported by the WPT as $255,352. The victory was his first WPT Main Tour title and came in his hometown of Berlin.
Schemion later qualified for the WPT Tournament of Champions through that victory.
In June 2019, he won the Baccarat Crystal WPT Tournament of Champions at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Schemion defeated Tony Dunst heads-up and earned $440,395 after overcoming a 76-player field consisting of eligible WPT champions.

Ole Schemion's WSOP Bracelets
Despite his extensive success elsewhere, Schemion did not win his first World Series of Poker bracelet until 2021.
He broke through in Event #79 of the 2021 WSOP, the $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold'em tournament. Schemion earned $172,499 and his first career bracelet.
That victory added one of poker's most recognizable championships to a résumé that already included major WPT, EPT-festival and European tournament titles.
Nearly five years later, Schemion captured bracelet No. 2.
At the 2026 WSOP Europe in Prague, he won Event #9, the €5,300 PLO European Championship. Schemion topped a field of 379 entries and defeated Finland's Santtu Leinonen heads-up for the €395,000 first-place prize.
The victory was notable for another reason: his first bracelet came in no-limit hold'em, while his second came in pot-limit Omaha, demonstrating championship results in multiple poker disciplines.
