Simon Beckmann: 2026 WSOP Online Main Event Runner-Up
POKER HALL OF FAME
Inducted 2014
Simon Beckmann emerged as a notable name in international tournament poker in 2026 when the German player finished runner-up in the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event for $3,030,486. The seven-figure result transformed his recorded tournament résumé and followed several years of appearances in World Series of Poker, European Poker Tour, Irish Open and major online events.
As of September 28, 2026, the World Series of Poker lists Beckmann with $3,808,737 in WSOP-tracked earnings, 131 cashes, one final table, no bracelets and no WSOP Circuit rings. His traditional live tournament record is much smaller because databases such as Hendon Mob do not include the same range of online results. Hendon Mob lists $88,943 in live earnings and a best live cash of $23,623.
⠀
Who Is Simon Beckmann?
Simon Beckmann is a German tournament poker player whose recorded results span major live and online No-Limit Hold'em events.
Hendon Mob identifies Beckmann as German and lists his residence as Germany. Public tournament records show live cashes dating to 2022, followed by appearances at the European Poker Tour, World Series of Poker Europe, WSOP Paradise and the Irish Poker Open.
His profile changed substantially in September 2026. After reaching the final two of a GGMillion$ event earlier in the month, Beckmann went even deeper in the WSOP Online Main Event, ultimately finishing second to Andrii Novak in one of the largest online poker tournaments of the year.

Simon Beckmann's Poker Career
Early Recorded Live Results
Hendon Mob's record for Beckmann begins in April 2022, when he finished 23rd in the German Poker Days Main Event in Rozvadov. Later that year, he recorded cashes at EPT Barcelona and the WSOP International Circuit stop in Rotterdam.
Those early results established a pattern that continued over the next several seasons: Beckmann competed primarily in No-Limit Hold'em tournaments across Europe while also building a much more substantial online tournament record.
In 2023, Beckmann recorded several results connected to the World Series of Poker. He cashed twice in bracelet events at WSOP Europe in Rozvadov before traveling to the Bahamas for the inaugural WSOP Paradise festival.
His strongest result at WSOP Paradise came in the $1,650 Mystery Millions. Beckmann advanced to 21st place in a field of 3,446 entries and collected $21,700. He also cashed in the $5,300 WSOP Paradise Main Event and the $800 Flip & Go event.
2024 Irish Open High Roller Final Table
Beckmann produced the largest traditional live cash currently listed on Hendon Mob at the 2024 Irish Poker Open in Dublin.
He finished sixth in the €3,000 High Roller 8-Max, earning €21,900. Hendon Mob records the payout at $23,623 after currency conversion.
The final table included several established European tournament professionals. Samuel Ju won the event, with Roberto Romanello finishing second and Dominik Nitsche placing third.
Beckmann later added two top-nine finishes in hyper-turbo knockout events during EPT Prague in December 2024.
Continued EPT Activity
Beckmann remained active on the European tournament circuit into 2025. His recorded live results include an 82nd-place finish in the EPT Prague Mystery Bounty event in December 2025.
His live tournament totals alone do not capture the scale of his overall poker results, however. Beckmann's biggest scores have come online, where his World Series of Poker and high-stakes tournament results pushed his recorded earnings into the millions.

Breakthrough Online Results
Runner-Up in a 2026 GGMillion$ Event
September 2026 became a defining month in Beckmann's career.
In a $10,000 GGMillion$ tournament on GGPoker, Beckmann reached heads-up play against Canadian professional Chris Klodnicki after navigating a final table that also included Joao Vieira, Barak Wisbrod and other established high-stakes competitors.
Klodnicki eventually won the event, while Beckmann earned $318,747 for second place.
The result was significant on its own, but an even larger performance followed approximately two weeks later.
2026 WSOP Online Main Event Runner-Up
Beckmann's biggest recorded poker score came in the 2026 WSOP Online Main Event on GGPoker.
The $5,000 tournament attracted 6,008 entries and generated a $28,538,000 prize pool. Beckmann reached the nine-player final table second in chips behind Andrii Novak of Ukraine.
He survived to three-handed play and then eliminated Moyan Chen to advance to heads-up action. Beckmann held a substantial chip lead over Novak when their heads-up match began, putting him within reach of a WSOP bracelet and the tournament's $3.9 million first prize.
Novak recovered, took control of the match and eventually eliminated Beckmann in second place.
Beckmann earned $3,030,486 for the runner-up finish, while Novak received $3,931,259 and the WSOP bracelet.
The score represented by far the largest publicly documented tournament payout of Beckmann's career and placed him among the leading WSOP earners of 2026.

Simon Beckmann's WSOP Record
As of September 28, 2026, the World Series of Poker's official player database lists Beckmann with:
$3,808,737 in total WSOP-tracked earnings
131 WSOP cashes
One WSOP final table
Zero WSOP bracelets
Zero WSOP Circuit rings
The WSOP database includes online events and therefore produces a much larger earnings figure than Hendon Mob's live-only tournament total.
Beckmann's most important World Series result is his second-place finish in the 2026 WSOP Online Main Event. He has also recorded results at WSOP Paradise, WSOP Europe and previous editions of the WSOP Online series.
⠀
Simon Beckmann's Live Tournament Earnings
Hendon Mob lists Beckmann with $88,943 in live tournament earnings as of September 28, 2026.
That number should not be confused with his total poker tournament winnings. Hendon Mob's figure covers his recorded live results, while the WSOP database includes a substantial body of online World Series results.
Hendon Mob lists his best live cash as $23,623, corresponding to his sixth-place finish in the 2024 Irish Poker Open €3,000 High Roller.
Because tournament databases track different categories of results, Beckmann is an example of a player whose publicly listed live earnings substantially understate the financial scale of his documented online tournament career.
⠀
Does Simon Beckmann Have a WSOP Bracelet?
Beckmann does not have a WSOP bracelet as of September 28, 2026.
His closest documented attempt came in the 2026 WSOP Online Main Event. Beckmann reached heads-up play and briefly held the chip lead before Novak rallied to win the tournament.
The official WSOP database also lists Beckmann with zero Circuit rings.
⠀
Simon Beckmann's Playing Style and Poker Focus
Publicly available tournament records provide stronger evidence about Beckmann's game selection than about a particular playing style.
His documented results are concentrated in No-Limit Hold'em tournaments, ranging from European live festivals to major online championships and $10,000 GGMillion$ competition. That record supports describing him as a tournament-focused No-Limit Hold'em player with experience in both live and online fields.
Without extensive public interviews or strategic material from Beckmann himself, more specific labels such as loose-aggressive, tight-aggressive or exploitative would be difficult to verify and should not be treated as established facts.
⠀
Why Simon Beckmann Matters in Poker
Beckmann's profile illustrates how modern tournament careers can develop across both live and online poker.
His live résumé includes results at established festivals such as EPT Barcelona, EPT Prague, WSOP Europe, WSOP Paradise and the Irish Poker Open. Yet his largest achievements have come online, culminating in a seven-figure WSOP Online Main Event score.
Finishing second in a 6,008-entry Main Event for more than $3 million gave Beckmann a result that stands apart from his earlier tournament record. Combined with his GGMillion$ runner-up finish earlier in September 2026, it established him as a player capable of reaching the final stages of major high-stakes online events.
⠀
Simon Beckmann's Current Status
As of September 28, 2026, Beckmann is an active tournament player with recent high-level online results.
His September 2026 performances represent the strongest documented stretch of his career to date. The WSOP Online Main Event runner-up finish dramatically increased his WSOP-recorded earnings, while his live tournament record remains comparatively modest.
Future results will determine whether Beckmann converts those deep online runs into a first WSOP bracelet or another major championship result. For now, his 2026 Main Event performance stands as the defining accomplishment of his tournament career.
