The same period produced enormous swings in both directions. Blom played multiple tables at once and regularly contested six- and seven-figure pots, making his sessions appointment viewing for online poker railbirds.
In November 2009, Blom and Antonius played a $1,356,946.50 pot in a $500/$1,000 heads-up pot-limit Omaha game. Antonius won the hand. At the time, it set a record for the largest online cash-game pot, and the hand remains one of the defining moments of the early high-stakes online era.
Blom’s online reputation was built less around steady bankroll management than around relentless aggression, a willingness to play almost anyone and an unusually high tolerance for variance. Blom’s first major live tournament victory came at the 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the $100,000 Super High Roller.

Six years later, he added another major title at the 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany festival in Rozvadov. Blom won the €5,300 Main Event for €850,000 after a heads-up deal with Pavel Plesuv. The tournament recorded 1,022 entries and a €5 million prize pool.
