Inducted 2014

William “Will” Givens has built a long tournament poker career that includes a World Series of Poker bracelet, two WSOP Circuit rings and millions of dollars in recorded live earnings. More than a decade after his 2014 bracelet victory, Givens produced another major World Series run in 2026, finishing 19th in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event for a career-best $325,000.

⠀

Who Is William Givens?

William Givens is an American tournament poker player from Colorado who has competed in major live and online events since at least the late 2000s. Hendon Mob lists Denver, Colorado, as his birthplace and Centennial, Colorado, as his residence.

Givens established himself first through tournament success in Colorado and online poker before becoming a regular presence at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), WSOP Circuit, World Poker Tour events and other major tournament series.

As of September 2026, Hendon Mob lists William Givens with more than $4.58 million in live tournament earnings and a career-best live cash of $325,000. Tournament databases can change as new results are added.

According to his official WSOP player profile, Givens has won one WSOP bracelet and two WSOP Circuit rings.

Early Poker Career and Online Success

One of Givens’ important early live breakthroughs came in 2009 when he won a Heartland Poker Tour event in Colorado for $144,765.

His career also developed online. Playing under screen names that included “imahustla1,” Givens opened 2010 with a series of major online tournament victories. Card Player reported that he won the Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee for $122,145 and followed it the next day with a $78,750 victory in the $1K Monday.

That run briefly put Givens at the top of Card Player’s 2010 Online Player of the Year standings and demonstrated that his tournament success was not limited to live poker.

William Givens Wins His WSOP Bracelet

Givens produced the defining victory of his early live career at the 2014 World Series of Poker.

In Event #45, a $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, he defeated a field of 1,841 entries to win $306,634 and his first WSOP gold bracelet. The victory came during an especially productive summer for Givens.

Only about a week earlier, he had finished fourth in another $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em bracelet event for $84,680. He also recorded cashes in a $5,000 six-handed No-Limit Hold’em event and a $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em event during the same series.

The bracelet established Givens as a WSOP champion and remains one of the central accomplishments of his career.

⠀

Major Tournament Results After the Bracelet

Givens continued accumulating significant results after his 2014 breakthrough rather than disappearing from the tournament circuit.

Among his largest career scores was a runner-up finish in a $600 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack event at the 2019 World Series of Poker. That result paid $245,606.

He has also recorded deep finishes in World Poker Tour events and regional tournament series. At the 2025 WPT World Championship Festival, Givens finished seventh in the $1,100 WPT Prime Championship for $191,000.

His résumé also includes two WSOP Circuit rings. The combination of a bracelet and multiple Circuit titles reflects success across both the WSOP’s flagship summer series and its year-round regional tournament schedule.

⠀

William Givens’ 2026 WSOP Run

The 2026 World Series of Poker became one of the strongest stretches of Givens’ career.

He reached the final stages of the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event, which drew 2,581 entries. Givens finished third for $214,960, adding one of his largest career cashes in a game other than No-Limit Hold’em.

His biggest result followed in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event.

Givens advanced to 19th place in the 2026 Main Event and earned $325,000. The payout surpassed his $306,634 bracelet victory as the largest live cash listed on his Hendon Mob record as of September 2026.

The result also showed Givens remaining competitive at the highest-profile tournament in poker more than a decade after winning his bracelet.

⠀

Success Beyond the 2026 WSOP

Givens continued playing a heavy tournament schedule after the Las Vegas series.

Earlier in 2026, he won a $3,100 PokerGO Tour High Roller event at the Texas Poker Open for $31,050. He also finished second in the $3,250 WSOP Circuit Big Tex High Roller at Texas Card House Austin, earning $68,510.

In July, shortly after his deep WSOP Main Event run, Givens traveled to Choctaw Casino Resort and finished third in a $1,100 WSOP Circuit Mini Main Event for $35,450. He added a fifth-place finish in a $2,000 Big O event at the same Circuit stop.

Givens then competed at the WSOP Super Circuit Canada series at Playground in Quebec. He finished 33rd in the C$5,000 Main Event for C$51,000 and later reached fifth place in a Mystery Bounty event.

Those results demonstrate that his 2026 Main Event finish was part of a broader period of sustained tournament activity rather than an isolated appearance.

⠀

William Givens’ Playing Style and Tournament Profile

Givens is best classified as a tournament poker specialist based on his extensive results across live and online events.

No single subjective playing-style label adequately describes a career that has stretched across different tournament formats. His strongest documented results have come in No-Limit Hold’em, but his third-place finish in the 2026 WSOP $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event also demonstrated success outside his primary discipline.

His record includes large-field bracelet events, WSOP Circuit tournaments, high rollers, regional championships and major online events. That range has allowed Givens to remain active through multiple eras of tournament poker.
