Choctaw Casino Durant Poker Room Guide

Choctaw Casino Durant is one of the major poker destinations in southeastern Oklahoma, serving local players, Dallas-Fort Worth travelers, and tournament visitors headed to Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant. The poker room is part of a large casino resort located at 4216 S. Hwy 69/75 in Durant, roughly north of the Texas-Oklahoma border and commonly used by players coming from North Texas.

The room is currently operating. Choctaw’s official Durant property page lists a poker room in the Sky Casino with more than 30 tables, dedicated staff, guest services, and a note directing players to the Bravo app for current game availability. PokerAtlas also lists Choctaw Casino Durant as an active poker room with 30 tables, all-day hours, cash games, free parking, phone-in list details, and poker-room amenities.

⠀

Poker Room Overview

The Choctaw Casino Durant poker room is located inside Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant, a large casino and hotel property in Durant, Oklahoma. The resort includes casino gaming, hotel towers, restaurants, entertainment venues, pools, The District entertainment area, and conference space.

For poker players, the most important practical detail is that the poker room is associated with the Sky Casino side of the property. Choctaw’s official Durant page says the poker room is in the Sky Casino, and the official facility map places the poker room near The District and off-track betting.

The room is significant for both cash-game players and tournament players. Choctaw directs players to the Bravo app for current games, while PokerAtlas lists live cash-game details and room features. Choctaw also promotes major poker events at the property, including an October WSOP Circuit event at Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant.

Location and Access

Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant is located at:

4216 S. Hwy 69/75 Durant, OK 74701

The property is a practical driving destination for many players traveling from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, southern Oklahoma, and nearby regional markets. Because the resort is large, first-time visitors should allow extra time for parking, walking, and finding the correct casino area.

Choctaw’s official parking guidance says the South Parking Garage is the most convenient option for guests arriving at the Sky Tower, visiting The District, playing poker, or using the Sky Casino. That makes the South Parking Garage the clearest first parking choice for most poker-room visits.

⠀

Room Location Inside the Casino

Choctaw identifies the poker room as part of the Sky Casino. The official facility map shows the poker room near The District and off-track betting, with an elevator to the poker room marked on the map.

Players arriving for the first time should look for Sky Tower, Sky Casino, The District, or poker-room signage rather than assuming the room is near the main casino entrance. During large tournament series, tournament activity may not be in the same place as regular cash games. Choctaw’s October WSOP promotional material states that tournament play is located in the Grand Theater while cash games are located in the poker room.

⠀

Cash Games

Choctaw directs players to the Bravo app for current poker-game availability. PokerAtlas lists the room as offering cash games and includes details for No-Limit Hold’em games, including $1/$2 No-Limit Hold’em and higher-stakes listings such as $5/$10 No-Limit Hold’em when available.

Because live-game lineups change by day, time, demand, and tournament traffic, players should check Bravo or PokerAtlas before driving to the property. The most reliable approach is to verify the current list shortly before arrival and call the poker room if planning to play a specific stake or format.

PokerAtlas lists useful room features including auto shufflers, food tableside, phone-in list availability, cash games, free parking, self-serve drinks, check cashing, jackpots, televisions, cocktail service, USB chargers, nearby restrooms, valet parking, non-smoking room status, WiFi, comps, and the ability to order food at the table. PokerAtlas also notes that the phone-in list is for $2/$5 No-Limit Hold’em and above only.

⠀

Tournaments

Choctaw Casino Durant has a tournament presence, but players should separate daily or recurring poker-room tournaments from major festival events.

PokerAtlas currently states that Choctaw Durant does not currently run regular poker tournaments on its tournament page. At the same time, Choctaw’s official website promotes a WSOP Circuit event at the property from October 28 to November 8 with a listed $1.5 million in guaranteed prize pools, tournament play in the Grand Theater, and cash games in the poker room.

That means the best current interpretation is that the room is primarily a cash-game room day to day, while the property also hosts major poker series at scheduled times. Tournament players should always verify event dates, locations, structures, and registration details through the official Choctaw event materials, WSOP information when applicable, Bravo, or PokerAtlas before traveling.

⠀

Registration, Waitlists, and Cashier Information

Choctaw’s official poker-room listing directs players to the Bravo app for current game availability. PokerAtlas lists phone-in list availability and notes that the phone-in list applies to $2/$5 No-Limit Hold’em and above only.

Cash-game players should check Bravo or PokerAtlas for live availability before arriving. Players who need to know whether they can join a list by phone, buy chips directly in the room, or use a main cage should contact the poker room before arrival, because cashier and registration procedures can change with staffing, promotions, or tournament-series setups.

PokerAtlas lists check cashing as a room feature. Choctaw’s official Durant page also describes casino-credit and front-money services elsewhere on the property, but players should not assume those procedures are identical to poker-room buy-in procedures.

⠀

Parking

Choctaw’s official parking guidance is helpful for poker players. The resort lists:

• South Parking Garage as the most convenient option for Sky Tower, The District, poker, and Sky Casino visits

• North Parking Garage as a convenient option for Spa Tower, Grand Theater, Grand Casino, and concert visits

• Complimentary valet parking for hotel guests at the Spa Tower and Sky Tower entrances

• Complimentary on-property shuttle service for guests staying at the resort or RV Park

For everyday cash games, the South Parking Garage should usually be the most practical starting point. For major tournament series in the Grand Theater, the North Parking Garage may be more convenient for tournament play, while cash games remain closer to the poker room.

⠀

Food and Amenities

Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant is a full resort property with extensive dining and entertainment options. The official property page lists 20 restaurants and bars, The District with bowling, an arcade, and six theaters, plus hotel rooms, pools, and entertainment venues.

The official property map identifies nearby dining and amenity options across the resort, including Starbucks, 1832 Steak House, Butterfields Buffet, Grand Café & Bakery, Reserve Whiskey Bar, Bamboo Noodle Bar, Smashburger, Papa Johns Pizza, Subway, Krispy Krunchy Chicken, Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen + Bar, Gilley’s, North Brew, Platinum Lounge, Red River Lounge, Mason Jar Bar, 6th Street Lounge, Tailgater’s Lounge, an arcade, a bowling alley, and a movie theater.

Choctaw also provides an official poker-room menu with food items available through scan-to-order service. That makes the property more convenient for long cash-game sessions than a room where players have to leave the casino floor for every meal break.

⠀

Hotel and Lodging Context

Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant has on-property lodging. The official Durant page describes 1,700 hotel rooms across the resort and specifically notes 1,000 rooms in the Sky Tower.

For poker players, staying on property is the simplest lodging option when the goal is to play late-night cash games or attend a major poker series. The official site also lists an RV Park and complimentary on-property shuttle service for resort and RV Park guests.

No existing Angry Aces Where to Stay page is currently confirmed for Choctaw Casino & Resort–Durant in the approved Where to Stay map, so no internal hotel relationship should be selected at this time.

⠀

Practical Player Tips

• Check Bravo or PokerAtlas before traveling, especially if you want a specific stake.

• Use the South Parking Garage for normal poker-room visits unless the resort directs otherwise.

• During major series, confirm whether your tournament is in the Grand Theater while cash games remain in the poker room.

• Bring a valid government ID and confirm age and player-card requirements before playing.

• Call the poker room directly if you need current details on phone-in lists, available games, promotions, or tournament-day procedures.

• Allow extra time on first visit because Choctaw Durant is a large resort property with multiple towers, garages, gaming areas, and entertainment zones.
