MSPT Wisconsin Poker State Championship Brings $1 Million Main Event to Milwaukee
The MSPT Wisconsin Poker State Championship is set to bring a major late-September poker stop to Milwaukee, with Potawatomi Casino Hotel hosting the series from September 22–27, 2026. The official MSPT calendar lists the event as Main Event 325 and advertises a $1 million guarantee for the Wisconsin Poker State Championship Main Event.
The stop gives Midwest players another significant championship-level tournament option during a crowded fall poker calendar. With a seven-figure guarantee attached to a regional tour Main Event, the Wisconsin stop is positioned as one of MSPT’s most important remaining 2026 events before the tour moves deeper into its fall and winter schedule.
MSPT Wisconsin Returns to Potawatomi Casino Hotel
Potawatomi Casino Hotel in Milwaukee has become a recurring MSPT destination, and the Wisconsin Poker State Championship continues that relationship with another headline Main Event on the schedule.
According to the official MSPT event listing, the Wisconsin Poker State Championship is scheduled for September 22–27 at Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee. The listing identifies the event as a 21-or-older tournament stop and includes a $3,500 MSPT Championship seat added to the Main Event first-place prize.

The Main Event Carries a $1 Million Guarantee
The centerpiece of the series is the MSPT Wisconsin Poker State Championship Main Event, which is listed by MSPT with a $1 million guarantee.
That number matters because it gives the stop regional weight beyond a standard weekend tournament. A seven-figure guarantee can attract local Wisconsin players, regular MSPT grinders, and traveling tournament players from nearby Midwest markets.
The Main Event is listed at $1,110 in recent MSPT and poker-room schedule information. As always with live tournament series, players should confirm final buy-ins, start times, structures, registration rules, and re-entry details directly through MSPT or Potawatomi Casino Hotel before playing.
Why the Wisconsin Stop Matters
The MSPT schedule has built much of its identity around accessible Main Events with substantial prize pools, and Wisconsin fits that model. The event gives players a major championship target without requiring a Las Vegas trip or a higher buy-in national tour stop.
For Milwaukee, the event also strengthens Potawatomi Casino Hotel’s place on the Midwest tournament map. Potawatomi’s poker room is listed by the casino as being located on the first level of the property, with 15 poker tables and dedicated poker promotions.
The combination of an established regional tour, a Milwaukee casino venue, and a $1 million guarantee makes this a meaningful stop for players who follow the Midwest tournament circuit.
Potawatomi’s 2026 MSPT Schedule Has Been Active
The Wisconsin Poker State Championship is not Potawatomi’s only MSPT appearance in 2026. PokerNews reported earlier in the year that MSPT planned three 2026 visits to Potawatomi, including the Club Poker Championship in February, another $1 million guaranteed event from April 28–May 3, and the Wisconsin Poker State Championship from September 22–27.
Hendon Mob also lists Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee as the venue for the 2026 Major Series of Poker: The Tour — MSPT Wisconsin Poker State Championship, with the festival dated September 22–27.
That repeat presence gives players more context for the September stop. Rather than being a one-off event, the Wisconsin Poker State Championship is part of a larger MSPT footprint at the Milwaukee venue.
What Players Should Watch Before the Series Begins
The most important step for players is confirming the final schedule and structure details through MSPT. Tournament series information can change, and the official schedule should be treated as the controlling source for event times, buy-ins, starting stacks, levels, and registration policies.
Players should pay particular attention to:
Main Event starting flights
Satellite opportunities
Registration and late-registration windows
Re-entry rules
Day 2 restart time
Any posted structure sheets
Potawatomi venue policies for the series
Because the stop is scheduled during a busy stretch of fall tournament poker, players traveling from outside Milwaukee should also compare nearby series dates before committing to a full trip.
