Umut Ozturk added a third MSPT Main Event title and a career-best $280,290 result at the 2026 Spade Poker Championship. The victory at FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan, also put the two-time tour Player of the Year atop the organizer’s career earnings list.

An even deal, but one championship

Ozturk and Greg Wiggins each received $280,290 after agreeing to an even heads-up deal. According to the MSPT’s recap, Ozturk held the slightly larger stack when they settled; he received the title, while Wiggins finished second. The matching payouts reflect that agreement, not two first-place finishes.

The $1,110 no-limit hold’em Main Event attracted 2,442 entries and produced a $2,367,240 prize pool. All 266 players who returned for the final day were already in the money.

The 2026 SPADE Poker Championship festival ran October 13–18, with the Main Event scheduled for October 15–18. The organizer published its championship recap early on October 19.

A new high point in Ozturk’s MSPT record

This was Ozturk’s second MSPT Main Event victory of 2026 and his third overall. CardPlayer’s report identifies the earlier 2026 win as the Ohio Poker State Championship, where he earned $89,638.

The FireKeepers result brought his MSPT career earnings to $1,337,177, according to the tour’s championship report. That is a tour-specific total of tournament cashes, not a measure of profit or net worth. The organizer also recorded his 75th tour cash and 19th final-table appearance.

Ozturk told MSPT reporter Anthony Thompson that he played in memory of his mother, who had died earlier in the year. He said, “this one is dedicated to my mother.”

The MSPT continues at Grand Falls in Larchwood, Iowa, October 28–November 1, according to the tour’s recap.
