MSPT returns to Sycuan Casino Resort in Southern California for Main Event 326 and the 2026 100 Grand Stack Series. The formal tournament schedule runs September 29 through October 4, highlighted by a $1,110 Main Event with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool.
MSPT now operates under the Major Series of Poker: The Tour branding. Its current event calendar identifies Sycuan as a San Diego, California stop, although the resort's physical address is 5469 Casino Way in El Cajon, in the Dehesa Valley east of downtown San Diego.
Sycuan's own MSPT 100 Grand Stack event page also lists September 29 through October 4 and the $100,000 guarantee.
Players planning additional tournament travel can compare this stop with other events through the Angry Aces Poker Tournament Guides and Upcoming Poker Tournaments. Tour results and announcements are also collected in Angry Aces Poker's MSPT coverage.
The complete event-by-event schedule and structure sheets are available in the official MSPT Sycuan schedule and structure packet.

September 28 or September 29? Understanding the Series Dates
Two current official MSPT sources use different opening dates.
MSPT's event calendar and the official Event 326 schedule list the 100 Grand Stack Series as September 29 through October 4. Sycuan's own tournament promotion uses those same dates.
A separate MSPT lodging announcement published July 12 lists September 28 through October 4 and describes that span as the festival's event dates.
The current tournament schedule resolves the practical question for players: there is no tournament, satellite, registration session or Gold Card event listed for September 28. The first Gold Card tournaments begin Tuesday, September 29.
September 28 should therefore be treated as part of MSPT's published lodging or arrival window rather than as a seventh day of scheduled Gold Card competition. Players should not describe the current Gold Card series as running seven days unless MSPT later issues a revised schedule.
There are also Main Event qualifiers scheduled before the lodging window, beginning in mid-September. Those are pre-series satellite opportunities and do not change the September 29 start of the formal 10-event Gold Card schedule.
Players booking around the earlier date can review the official MSPT Sycuan lodging announcement.
⠀
What Is the MSPT 100 Grand Stack?
The 100 Grand Stack is MSPT's deep-stack series branding, but the current 2026 Sycuan paperwork contains an important inconsistency that players should know about before assuming the name guarantees a particular Main Event stack.
The schedule grid lists 100,000 chips for each of the three Main Event starting flights. However, the detailed Event #6 structure sheet contained in that same current schedule packet states a starting stack of 30,000 chips.
Because those two current first-party references conflict, the exact Main Event starting stack should not be presented as settled until MSPT or Sycuan corrects or clarifies the publication. The name "100 Grand Stack" by itself is not enough to resolve that discrepancy.
The supporting Gold Card tournaments also do not all begin with 100,000 chips. The current schedule lists starting stacks ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 for the supporting events.
What is consistent in the Main Event paperwork is the slower structure. Event #6 uses 40-minute levels, with 30-minute levels once heads-up or when a deal is made. The detailed structure sheet begins at 300/500 with a 500 big-blind ante.
Players specifically choosing the event because of the expected 100,000-chip Main Event stack should recheck the official Event 326 structure packet shortly before registering.
⠀
Main Event 326
The centerpiece is MSPT Main Event 326, listed on the schedule as the $1,110 100 GRAND STACK Main Event NLH.
Current published details include:
Buy-in: $1,110
Guarantee: $100,000
Starting flights: Three
Level length: 40 minutes
Late registration: Until the start of Level 13
Re-entry: Unlimited until the start of Level 13
Day 1 advancement: Approximately 11% of each starting field, rounded up
Day 2: Sunday, October 4 at 11 a.m.
Gold Card: Awarded to the winner under current MSPT Gold Card rules
Added winner prize: $3,500 MSPT Championship Main Event seat
Starting stack: Conflicting current publication — schedule grid says 100,000; detailed Event #6 sheet says 30,000
The detailed structure sheet allocates $970 of each $1,110 buy-in to the prize pool and $140 to the administration fee. It also states that $1,500 will be deducted from the event prize pool for trophies and Player of the Year.
MSPT says its Main Events receive live reporting on msptpoker.com. As of August 15, no Event 326-specific livestream announcement is included in the current Sycuan event materials.
⠀
Main Event Starting Flights and Day 2
Three Day 1 flights are scheduled.
Day 1A: Thursday, October 1 at 2 p.m. Registration is scheduled through the start of Level 13 at approximately 10:40 p.m.
Day 1B: Friday, October 2 at 2 p.m. Registration is scheduled through the start of Level 13 at approximately 10:40 p.m.
Day 1C: Saturday, October 3 at noon. Registration is scheduled through the start of Level 13 at approximately 8:40 p.m.
Day 2: Sunday, October 4 at 11 a.m.
Each starting flight plays until 11% of that flight's field remains, rounded up. Those players advance already in the money.
When Day 2 begins, MSPT says the tournament clock will resume at the earliest finishing point reached by any of the Day 1 flights. All survivors then combine and continue until a winner is determined.
The event uses a best-stack-forward rule. A player who qualifies for Day 2 more than once may play only the larger stack. Lower qualifying stacks are removed at the start of Day 2 and receive the lowest Day 2 payout. MSPT also awards Player of the Year credit only for the higher stack and records only one Main Event cash for that player.
⠀
$100,000 Guarantee
MSPT and Sycuan both currently advertise a $100,000 guaranteed Main Event prize pool.
The guarantee establishes the minimum published prize-pool target for the Main Event. It does not mean $100,000 goes to first place. Final payouts depend on the number of entries and the tournament's published payout procedures.
The guarantee is substantially different from the starting-stack question. The $100,000 guarantee is consistently stated by MSPT and Sycuan, while the Main Event starting stack is the item on which the current schedule grid and detailed structure sheet conflict.
⠀
Gold Card Events
The current schedule identifies 10 numbered Gold Card events from September 29 through October 4.
Rather than duplicating the full schedule, some of the principal supporting options are:
Event #1, a $300 Epic Stack No-Limit Hold'em opener with a 50,000-chip starting stack and 30-minute levels
$250 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em events with 30,000-chip stacks and 20-minute levels
$300 Ultimate Stack No-Limit Hold'em events with 40,000-chip stacks and 30-minute levels
Event #5, a $300 Seniors Monster Stack for players age 50 and older
Event #8, a $300 40/30/40 event for players age 40 and older, using a 40,000-chip stack and 30-minute levels
Event #6, the $1,110 Main Event
The current Event 326 Gold Card schedule does not list PLO, Mystery Bounty or Tag Team Gold Card tournaments. Those formats should not be carried over from other Sycuan festivals or earlier MSPT schedules.
For the complete lineup and any subsequent revisions, use the official MSPT 100 Grand Stack schedule.
⠀
Satellites and Ways to Qualify
MSPT has published several paths into the $1,110 Main Event, including qualifiers before the formal September 29 Gold Card schedule and additional satellites during the series.
Pre-series qualifiers are currently scheduled on September 15, 19, 20, 22, 24 and 26. There is no satellite listed on September 28.
During the formal series, players can find $70 steps into the $265 Main Event satellites as well as $135 and $265 routes toward the $1,110 Main Event.
⠀
$70 Milestone Satellites
The $70 structure uses a 15,000-chip starting stack and 15-minute levels, with unlimited re-entry until the start of Level 7. The prize formula awards a $265 satellite prize for every $265 in the prize pool.
The milestone is 80,000 chips. Once tournament staff verifies that a player has reached the milestone, the player receives the tournament prize and leaves the satellite. MSPT states that tournament prizes earned through these satellites are transferable.
⠀
$265 Main Event Milestone Satellites
The standard $265 satellite starts with 30,000 chips and uses 20-minute levels. Unlimited re-entry is available through the start of Level 9.
The current structure awards a $1,110 Main Event entry for every $1,110 generated in the satellite prize pool. The standard milestone is 180,000 chips. A player reaching that total can take the direct-entry seat immediately or continue under the structure's published milestone procedures.
The schedule describes the standard $265 qualifiers as approximately one Main Event seat for every five entries. A Turbo Ironman version is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, using 15-minute levels and no scheduled breaks.
MSPT states that the tournament prizes earned through the $265 satellites are transferable.
⠀
$135 Main Event Satellite
A $135 Main Event satellite is scheduled for Thursday, October 1. It starts with 15,000 chips, uses 20-minute levels and permits unlimited re-entry until the start of Level 7.
The structure awards a $1,110 Main Event entry for each $1,110 accumulated in the prize pool and states that the resulting tournament prize is transferable.
The official packet also lists on-demand $125 Flip 'N Go tournaments. Those award $1,100 in casino cash-value chips rather than being described as a full $1,110 Main Event seat.
Because satellite starting times, guarantees and seat counts vary by session, players should use the official schedule rather than assuming that every qualifier has identical terms.
⠀
MSPT Gold Cards and Player of the Year
Under the current MSPT Gold Card rules, Gold Cards are awarded to winners of qualifying MSPT Series events with buy-ins of at least $200.
Gold Cards are individually tracked. A player's Gold Card total appears in MSPT records and feeds the tour's Gold Card leaderboard.
The award also interacts with MSPT's chop procedures. A Gold Card cannot be awarded through a deal made with four or more players remaining. Once play reaches three-handed, a deal must comply with MSPT's published chop rules. An ICM deal that ends the tournament awards the card to the chip leader; if players make a deal and continue, at least 10% of the remaining prize pool must remain in play and the eventual winner receives the card.
Player of the Year is a separate points system. The 2026 MSPT Player of the Year rules state that Season 17 runs from January 1 through December 31, 2026 and that players who cash in MSPT tournaments are ranked for points.
Eligible preliminary or Series tournaments below $1,000 use reduced point multipliers. The current chart lists $250 events at one-fifth of standard points and $300 events at one-quarter of standard points.
The $1,110 Sycuan Main Event is above the $1,000 threshold and uses MSPT's entrant-based points system. MSPT reserves a 1.5-times POY multiplier for events designated as MAJORS. Event 326 is listed on the current calendar as a Main Event rather than as one of MSPT's designated Majors, so the published materials do not identify a 1.5-times multiplier for Sycuan.
The Season 17 POY winner is currently scheduled to receive a $10,000 Main Event entry for an event taking place in July 2027.
⠀
Added $3,500 MSPT Championship Seat
The Main Event winner receives more than the cash payout and Gold Card.
MSPT's current Event #6 structure sheet states that a $3,500 MSPT Championship Main Event seat will be added to first place. It is an added prize rather than part of the advertised cash payout.
The seat is non-transferable. MSPT also states that the winner is responsible for transportation and lodging.
The 2026 MSPT Championship is scheduled at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The larger festival runs November 18 through December 2, with the $3,500 Championship Main Event scheduled November 27 through December 2 and carrying a $2 million guarantee.
The Championship is designated as an MSPT Major and carries the tour's 1.5-times Player of the Year multiplier.
Players can review MSPT's current Championship seat information for the currently published Championship details.
⠀
Tournament Structures and Registration
The official Event 326 packet contains individual structure sheets for the Gold Card events and satellites.
Main Event registration remains open until the start of Level 13, with unlimited re-entry during that period. The schedule does not publish a fixed numerical limit on how many paid entries a player may make while registration remains available, and the multi-bag rule expressly contemplates players qualifying through more than one flight.
The detailed Main Event sheet uses 40-minute levels, 10-minute breaks after every three levels and a big-blind ante. Its first published blind level is 300/500 with a 500 big-blind ante.
As noted earlier, players should verify the starting stack immediately before the event because the current schedule grid lists 100,000 while the Event #6 structure page says 30,000.
The schedule also states that Tournament Directors Association rules apply unless otherwise noted and that local regulatory requirements may supersede MSPT guidelines.
For registration, current tournament rules require a casino player card and valid identification. The schedule states that tournament entry fees are accepted in cash or casino chips. No Event 326-specific online registration portal is currently published.
⠀
Sycuan Casino Resort and Poker
Sycuan Casino Resort is located at 5469 Casino Way, El Cajon, California 92019.
MSPT markets the stop as San Diego, while Sycuan describes the resort as being in the Dehesa Valley east of downtown San Diego. Traveling players should therefore plan for an East County/El Cajon resort destination rather than a downtown San Diego casino.
The Sycuan Poker Room is open 24 hours a day. Sycuan's current poker page describes a 16-table, smoke-free room offering cash games and daily tournaments. Club Sycuan members can also earn poker-room iComps under the property's current rewards program.
Both MSPT's lodging notice and Sycuan's current property information state that guests must be at least 21 years old. Sycuan says people under 21 are not permitted in the casino or hotel.
⠀
Where the Tournament Is Played
The current Event 326 schedule identifies Sycuan Casino Resort as the tournament venue, but neither the MSPT schedule packet nor Sycuan's current 100 Grand Stack promotion specifies the exact internal tournament room.
That means the currently published material does not establish whether all 100 Grand Stack tables will be inside the regular poker room, a ballroom, the Heritage Event Center or a combination of spaces.
The regular poker room should not automatically be treated as the complete festival venue simply because Sycuan operates one. Players for whom the exact tournament-room location affects arrival or accessibility planning should confirm the assignment with Sycuan Poker closer to the series. The poker-room contact number currently published by Sycuan is 619-659-3303.
⠀
Where to Stay
MSPT has published an official lodging notice covering September 28 through October 4.
⠀
Sycuan Casino Resort
The on-property option is the most direct choice for players who want to stay at the tournament property.
MSPT provides an official Sycuan guest-block reservation link. The reservation URL includes offer code 9731022. MSPT also tells players they can call Sycuan Reservations at 619-445-6002 and mention MSPT to receive the discounted rate.
MSPT's July 12 announcement does not publish a specific nightly dollar rate, room-block booking deadline or block-specific cancellation policy. Those items should be confirmed during booking rather than inferred.
Sycuan's general hotel FAQ currently permits cancellation without penalty up to 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations inside that window are subject to a first-night room-and-tax charge. Group-block terms displayed at booking should be treated as controlling if they differ from the general policy.
Sycuan's current general resort fee is $12 per day.
Players can review the property's official Sycuan Casino Resort hotel information before booking.
⠀
Courtyard San Diego El Cajon
MSPT also lists Courtyard San Diego El Cajon at 141 North Magnolia Avenue in El Cajon.
The current lodging announcement provides a Courtyard booking link published by MSPT.
MSPT does not publish a room rate, booking deadline, distance to Sycuan or transportation inclusion for this option in the lodging announcement.
⠀
Hampton Inn & Suites El Cajon San Diego
The other MSPT-listed alternative is Hampton Inn & Suites El Cajon San Diego at 1025 North Magnolia Avenue in El Cajon.
MSPT provides a Hampton booking link, which contains corporate code 0560048765.
As with the Courtyard listing, MSPT's current announcement does not state a nightly rate, booking deadline, distance, block-specific cancellation terms or included transportation. Verify those items directly before committing to a reservation.
⠀
Dining and Amenities
Sycuan has several practical food options for tournament players, including choices suited to short breaks and late finishes. Current hours can change, so check the official Sycuan dining page near the trip.
Useful options currently include:
Starbucks in the main lobby, currently listed daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Corner Deli & Pizza, currently open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., with sandwiches, wraps, salads, pizza and Grab & Go items
Double Down Grill near the Bingo area, currently listed as open 24 hours a day
Viewpoint Neighborhood Kitchen, a sit-down option open from breakfast into the evening
Rank & File, with its kitchen currently open from noon to midnight
Because the exact Event 326 tournament room has not yet been published, it is not possible to identify which restaurant will be physically closest to the tournament tables.
Hotel guests also have access to resort amenities that include pools, a fitness center and Spa Ritual under Sycuan's current operating policies.
⠀
Parking and Getting There
Self-parking at Sycuan is currently free.
Sycuan's current FAQ says valet is reserved for Black and Diamond Club Sycuan members and hotel guests. That current policy should be used instead of older Sycuan references that may describe valet differently.
The resort's official driving directions list the address as 5469 Casino Way in El Cajon. Sycuan describes the property as being in Dehesa Valley approximately 30 minutes east of downtown San Diego under typical conditions.
For travelers arriving through the San Diego area, Sycuan's airport directions route drivers east on Interstate 8 before continuing through El Cajon and Dehesa Road. Actual travel time will depend on traffic.
Sycuan also operates complimentary Club Sycuan shuttle service from several San Diego County locations. A Club Sycuan membership card is required to board an outgoing casino shuttle, and seating is subject to availability. The casino shuttle should not be confused with transportation included in the MSPT hotel block; MSPT's lodging announcement does not state that hotel transportation is included.
Sycuan has also published information confirming that rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft can use the property.
⠀
