Elara works best as a multi-room central Strip base rather than as lodging tied to a single casino. The closest major poker destination is Horseshoe Las Vegas, home to its Hall of Fame Poker Room. Horseshoe is roughly 0.4 miles from Elara, and a practical trip is generally about 10–15 minutes on foot depending on the route through the Planet Hollywood and Paris/Horseshoe area. That proximity makes Elara reasonable for early tournament starts and eliminates the need to move a car for most sessions.

Bellagio is another practical option. The property is roughly 0.6–0.7 miles away, with walking estimates around 11–15 minutes. Bellagio's poker room is therefore close enough for both scheduled sessions and late cash-game play, although the return trip still involves navigating a busy Strip environment.

ARIA is also approximately 0.7 miles away and is generally around a 12–15 minute walk. Players planning substantial volume at both ARIA and Bellagio can use Elara as a convenient middle ground instead of committing to the higher room rates that are often associated with the luxury casino resorts themselves.

MGM Grand is farther but still practical for many players. Reaching the MGM Grand complex can take roughly 15–20 minutes on foot, with additional interior walking possible because of the property's size. It remains a reasonable option for a multi-room trip, particularly when the weather is comfortable, but players with very early starts, mobility concerns or late finishes may prefer rideshare.

Caesars Palace is approximately 1.2 miles away by the practical walking route and generally takes more than 20 minutes on foot. It has an active poker room, but Elara should not be considered a primary walking hotel for Caesars Palace; a short rideshare is more practical, particularly after a late session.

Elara does not have its own casino or poker room. Its advantage is the ability to reach several established center-Strip poker rooms from one hotel. Players splitting time between Horseshoe, Bellagio, ARIA and MGM Grand are particularly well positioned.

Food access is a significant strength for tournament travel. Elara connects directly to Miracle Mile Shops and Planet Hollywood, giving players numerous dining and quick-service options without needing to drive. Studios and junior suites include kitchenettes, while larger suites offer full kitchens, which can reduce restaurant dependence during multi-day events.

Self-parking and valet are both paid, so travelers bringing a car should include parking in the trip budget. Hilton currently lists self-parking at $25 per day and valet at $35, with in-and-out privileges. For players staying primarily on the central Strip, walking or rideshare may be more convenient than repeatedly moving a vehicle between casino garages.

Elara can offer strong value when its nightly rate is below nearby luxury resorts, particularly for groups sharing larger suites. The main cost considerations are the nightly resort charge and paid parking. Other drawbacks include the lack of an on-property poker room, outdoor portions of most poker-room walks, summer heat and the additional inconvenience of walking back after a very late cash session.

For multi-day poker trips, the combination of central location, larger suite layouts, kitchens or kitchenettes, nearby food and access to several poker rooms makes Elara especially practical for players whose Las Vegas schedule is spread across multiple venues.
