Excalibur Hotel & Casino

Excalibur is most practical for poker players using MGM Grand as their primary room. MGM Grand is across Tropicana Avenue and can generally be reached in about 10–15 minutes on foot once pedestrian crossings and casino access are taken into account. MGM Grand's poker room operates 24 hours, making Excalibur convenient for both early tournament starts and players returning after late-night cash sessions.

ARIA is another realistic poker destination from Excalibur. Depending on the pedestrian route and starting point inside the resorts, expect roughly a 15–20 minute practical walk. That makes ARIA reasonable for players who do not mind walking, although a short taxi or rideshare can be preferable in extreme heat, after a long session or when carrying luggage.

Bellagio and Horseshoe Las Vegas are farther north. Both are roughly in the 20–30 minute walking range from Excalibur depending on the exact route, pedestrian bridges and time spent moving through neighboring resorts. They are usable poker destinations from Excalibur, but players with early tournament starts or late finishes should consider rideshare, taxi or Strip transit rather than relying on the walk every day.

The Venetian and Wynn are not practical walking destinations from Excalibur. The Venetian is roughly a 35–40 minute walk and Wynn closer to 45 minutes. Both can usually be reached much faster by taxi or rideshare when Strip traffic is moving normally, so Excalibur can function as a lower-cost lodging alternative for an occasional session or tournament there, but it should not be considered a location-convenient Venetian or Wynn hotel.

Food access is a strength for long poker days. Excalibur has casual restaurants, coffee and quick-service choices on property, while MGM Grand, New York-New York and other south-Strip resorts add more options within walking distance. That gives players useful choices before an early start or after a session ends.

Parking is paid. MGM Resorts currently lists Excalibur self-parking at $20 for registered hotel guests per 24-hour period, with visitor rates varying between weekdays and weekends and higher pricing possible during special events. Players driving to other MGM Resorts should check current parking rules rather than assuming their Excalibur hotel parking payment covers a second garage.

Excalibur's primary advantage is value relative to its Strip location. It can work well for a multi-day poker trip centered on MGM Grand and, to a lesser degree, ARIA, while still leaving several other major rooms accessible by rideshare. The tradeoff is that players planning most of their volume at Bellagio, Horseshoe, Venetian or Wynn will spend more time walking or using transportation than they would from a more centrally located hotel.
