Flamingo Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV
Flamingo Las Vegas is a large center-Strip casino resort at Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, placing guests within walking distance of many of the Strip’s major casinos, restaurants and attractions. The property has more than 3,500 rooms and suites, including renovated Flamingo accommodations and larger bunk-bed options suited to groups.
The resort combines a full casino with an extensive pool and outdoor complex, including the adults-only Go Pool, a family pool and the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat. Dining ranges from quick coffee and casual meals to restaurants including Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse, Pinky’s by Vanderpump, Gordon Ramsay Burger, Havana 1957 and Cortadito Coffee House.
For poker travelers, Flamingo’s biggest advantage is its center-Strip position rather than an on-property poker room. The Venetian is roughly an 11-minute walk away, while Wynn Las Vegas is about an 18-minute walk north. That makes Flamingo a practical mid-priced base for players who want access to tournament and cash-game action at more than one major Las Vegas poker destination without paying the room rates typically associated with those luxury resorts.

Why Players Like This Hotel
Flamingo is particularly useful for poker players who want a center-Strip hotel capable of serving both The Venetian and Wynn Las Vegas rather than staying exclusively around one poker room.
The Venetian is the more convenient of the two. A practical walk is about 11 minutes, putting it comfortably within the 10–15 Minute Walk category. That is close enough for early tournament starts and makes returning to the hotel after a cash session reasonable without routinely needing a rideshare.
Wynn Las Vegas is farther north but still realistically walkable for many players at roughly 18 minutes. That distance is more noticeable after a long tournament day or late-night cash session, when a short taxi or rideshare may be preferable. Flamingo remains a legitimate Wynn lodging option because its room rates can be substantially more value-oriented than staying at Wynn or Encore while keeping the poker room within a manageable Strip walk.
The ability to reach both properties makes Flamingo especially useful for players splitting a multi-day trip between Venetian and Wynn tournaments or cash games. Players can also use Strip transportation or rideshare when heat, fatigue or late hours make walking unattractive.
Food access is a strength. Flamingo has coffee, casual dining and full-service restaurants on property, while the surrounding center-Strip area adds many more options within a short walk. That is useful for tournament players needing breakfast before an early start, a fast meal during downtime or food after a late session.
Parking is a drawback for players driving to Las Vegas. Registered Flamingo hotel guests currently pay for self-parking, and valet is also paid, although qualifying Caesars Rewards members may receive parking benefits. Rates and special-event pricing should be rechecked before arrival.
For longer poker trips, Flamingo offers a useful balance of location and price. The main compromises are that neither major Angry Aces poker-room destination is on property, Strip walking can be uncomfortable in extreme heat, and the approximately 18-minute Wynn walk may feel long after an extended session. Players prioritizing immediate poker-room access may prefer staying directly at Venetian or Wynn, but players prioritizing center-Strip value and access to both can find Flamingo considerably more flexible.
