For poker purposes, the hotel is most relevant to Lake Erie Poker Room in Elyria. It is close enough to function as a short-drive lodging choice rather than a walkable casino-resort hotel. JACK Cleveland Casino is a much farther downtown Cleveland option and is not the primary reason to book this property, though players with a car could still reach downtown Cleveland from Elyria when needed.

Why Players Like This Hotel

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elyria by IHG is best treated as a short-drive hotel for Lake Erie Poker Room rather than a walkable poker-room hotel. Lake Erie Poker Room is located at 1573 West River Road North in Elyria, and the hotel’s Griswold Road location keeps the trip short by car for daily tournaments, cash games, and multi-day series stops.

For players coming to Elyria specifically for Lake Erie Poker Room, the main advantages are simplicity, free hotel parking, free breakfast, and a location that avoids the cost and traffic of staying in downtown Cleveland. The hotel is especially useful for players with early tournament starts because breakfast is available on property and the drive to the poker room should be short under normal conditions. It is also workable after late-night cash sessions because players can return directly by car or rideshare without needing to cross the full Cleveland metro area.

This is not an on-property or connected poker hotel. Players should not expect to walk comfortably between the hotel and Lake Erie Poker Room, especially at night or after long sessions. Driving or rideshare is the practical choice. The hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, so players should plan meals around the free breakfast, nearby Elyria restaurants, or food access around the poker room.

JACK Cleveland Casino is an existing Angry Aces Poker Room Guide destination, but it is not close enough to make this hotel a natural JACK Cleveland lodging choice. Players planning most of their action at JACK Cleveland should usually stay closer to downtown Cleveland. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elyria makes more sense for poker travelers focused on Lake Erie Poker Room, with occasional Cleveland-area side trips only if they have a car.
