Jockey Club Suites

palazzo where to stay.jpeg

Las Vegas, NV

Jockey Club Suites is an all-suite, non-casino lodging option in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, positioned between Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan, and the CityCenter area. Its location makes it especially useful for poker travelers who want quick access to major mid-Strip poker rooms without staying inside a casino resort.

The property focuses on apartment-style accommodations rather than full resort spectacle. Suites include full kitchens, making the hotel practical for longer poker trips, players who want to manage meals between sessions, and guests who prefer more space than a standard Strip hotel room. Jockey Club also lists complimentary Wi-Fi, guest computer access, and a 24-hour resort desk.

The tradeoff is that Jockey Club Suites does not operate like a full casino resort. There is no on-site poker room, casino floor, or large internal dining collection. Instead, guests rely on the surrounding Strip location, with Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan, ARIA, Paris, Planet Hollywood, and Horseshoe Las Vegas all nearby. For poker players, that setup can be a strength: the hotel provides a quieter, suite-style base within practical walking distance of Bellagio, ARIA, Horseshoe Las Vegas, and Caesars Palace, with rideshare or longer walks available for farther Strip poker rooms.

Why Players Like This Hotel

Jockey Club Suites is one of the more practical center-Strip hotel options for players who want access to multiple Las Vegas poker rooms from one base. It should not be tied only to one casino, because its location can reasonably serve Bellagio, ARIA, Horseshoe Las Vegas, and Caesars Palace.

Bellagio is the closest approved Angry Aces poker-room relationship. The walk is typically around five minutes to the Bellagio property, though the final time to the poker room depends on the exact interior route through Bellagio. This is the strongest poker use case for Jockey Club Suites, especially for players who expect early starts, long cash sessions, or frequent trips back to the room between sessions.

ARIA is also a realistic walking destination from Jockey Club Suites. The route through the CityCenter/Cosmopolitan/ARIA area can vary, but poker players should generally treat ARIA as an 8–12 minute walk in normal conditions. That makes the hotel useful for players who want a suite-style stay near one of the Strip’s busiest poker rooms without paying ARIA resort pricing.

Horseshoe Las Vegas is farther but still practical for many poker travelers, usually in the 12–15 minute walking range depending on Strip crossings and pedestrian-bridge traffic. That matters because Horseshoe is a major poker destination and the home of the WSOP Hall of Fame Poker Room. Jockey Club Suites can work well for players who want to be near Horseshoe tournament or cash-game action while staying slightly off the casino-resort path.

Caesars Palace is also reasonable for many players, but it is closer to the edge of the hotel’s walking range. Expect roughly 15–20 minutes on foot depending on the route and crowds. It is still useful for players splitting sessions between Bellagio and Caesars Palace, but late-night returns may feel long after a deep tournament run or extended cash session.

Venetian, Wynn, and MGM Grand are important Las Vegas poker destinations, but they are not the strongest direct relationships for this hotel. Venetian and Wynn are generally better treated as rideshare or transit destinations from Jockey Club Suites, while MGM Grand is a longer southbound Strip walk that most players will not want to repeat daily during a multi-day poker trip.

The biggest practical strengths are location, suite space, kitchens, free parking, and the absence of a clearly listed resort fee. Those features can make Jockey Club Suites appealing for value-focused poker travelers, longer stays, and players who want a quieter place to reset between sessions. The main drawbacks are the lack of an on-site casino, no on-site restaurant, possible interior walking complexity to reach specific poker rooms, and a less resort-driven experience than Bellagio, ARIA, Caesars Palace, or Horseshoe.
