Why Players Like This Hotel

The Carriage House is most useful as a multi-room poker base for the central and south-central Strip rather than as lodging tied to a single casino.

MGM Grand is the closest active poker room. The casino is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, although players should allow extra time to navigate the resort and reach the poker room itself. That makes MGM Grand practical for early tournament starts and particularly convenient after a late cash session because a rideshare normally is not necessary.

ARIA and Bellagio are also realistic walking destinations. Both casino properties are commonly listed at about a 12-minute walk from The Carriage House, but actual door-to-poker-room time can be closer to 15–20 minutes after Strip crossings and interior resort walking are included. ARIA's poker room is on the east side of its casino floor near Main Valet, while Bellagio's poker room is on the north side of the casino next to the sportsbook. Players entering tournaments should build extra time into the walk rather than relying only on the hotel-to-casino estimate.

Horseshoe Las Vegas is approximately half a mile away and is another practical poker destination. Its Hall of Fame Poker Room makes The Carriage House useful for players who want access to Horseshoe without staying in a casino hotel. Depending on walking pace, crossings and the final route through the resort, players should plan roughly 10–15 minutes to reach the property and additional time to reach the poker room.

The Venetian and Wynn are farther north. The Venetian is roughly a 24-minute walk from The Carriage House, while Wynn is about a 31-minute walk. Those distances put both outside the hotel's strongest walkable poker zone; a rideshare, taxi or other transportation is more practical, particularly before an early tournament or after a long late-night session. For that reason, The Carriage House is better suited to a trip centered on MGM Grand, ARIA, Bellagio and Horseshoe than one centered primarily on Venetian or Wynn.

Food access is a strength for longer poker stays. Rooms have kitchens or kitchenettes, the hotel has a mini mart, and numerous quick-service and full-service dining options are available within a short walk toward the Strip. This gives tournament players more flexibility than a conventional casino hotel room when playing several consecutive days.

The hotel currently charges for parking, but its published $10 daily rate is modest by Strip-resort standards. There is no resort fee. Players bringing a vehicle should note that oversized vehicles are not permitted.

The main trade-off is that The Carriage House is not connected to any casino or poker room. Every session requires at least some outdoor walking or transportation, and Las Vegas heat, crowded sidewalks and lengthy resort interiors can add meaningful time. In exchange, players get a quieter non-gaming property, kitchen facilities and a location that works well for splitting a multi-day trip among several nearby poker rooms.
