The Vanderpump Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

palazzo where to stay.jpeg

Las Vegas, NV

The Vanderpump Las Vegas Hotel & Casino occupies the former Cromwell location at the busy corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, giving poker travelers a compact boutique hotel option in the middle of the Strip. The property is smaller than the surrounding megaresorts, which can make it easier to get in and out of the building between sessions, but it still places guests within walking range of several major poker destinations.

The hotel includes casino gaming, a sportsbook, renovated guest rooms and suites, Giada, Starbucks, nightlife, shopping, a fitness center, and the Soleia rooftop pool. Its central location is the main poker-travel advantage: Horseshoe Las Vegas, Bellagio, Caesars Palace, and ARIA are all realistic options from the hotel, depending on the player’s tolerance for Strip walking and pedestrian crossings.

For players who want a boutique Strip base rather than a large resort tower, this property is most useful when room rates are competitive and the trip involves multiple nearby poker rooms. The tradeoff is that the hotel has an active nightlife identity, so players who prioritize quiet early nights before tournament starts should compare room type, location, fees, and current guest policies before booking.

Why Players Like This Hotel

The former Cromwell location is one of the more flexible center-Strip lodging options for poker players because it can serve several existing Angry Aces poker-room destinations without forcing the trip to revolve around only one room.

Horseshoe Las Vegas is the closest practical poker stop. Players can usually treat Horseshoe as a short walk across Las Vegas Boulevard, making the hotel useful for daily tournaments, early starts, and late-night cash sessions when avoiding a rideshare is valuable. This is especially relevant for players who want quick access to the Horseshoe poker room while staying outside the Horseshoe/Paris resort complex.

Bellagio is also a realistic walk from the hotel. The route involves crossing the Strip area near Flamingo, but the distance is short enough that Bellagio cash-game and tournament players can use this hotel as a convenient base. For late-night sessions, the walk is still practical, though players should account for crowds, traffic signals, and normal Strip safety awareness.

Caesars Palace is close by but can feel less direct because the poker room is inside a large resort footprint. The hotel remains useful for Caesars Palace players, especially those who value a smaller hotel experience across the street from the property, but the actual door-to-room walk can vary based on the entrance and indoor route used.

ARIA is farther but still reasonable for players who do not mind a longer Strip walk through the center-Strip corridor. For ARIA-focused trips, staying on or closer to CityCenter may be more efficient, but The Vanderpump Hotel can work well for players splitting sessions among ARIA, Bellagio, Horseshoe, and Caesars Palace.

The best use case is a multi-day Las Vegas poker trip where the player wants one central hotel for several nearby poker rooms. Food access is strong for quick coffee and on-property dining, with many additional restaurants nearby at Caesars Palace, Horseshoe, Paris, Bellagio, Flamingo, and LINQ-area properties. Parking is paid and should be checked before arrival, especially for players driving between off-Strip casinos or hauling luggage and poker gear. The main drawbacks are possible nightlife noise, resort fees, paid parking, and the fact that longer walks to ARIA or other Strip poker rooms may be inconvenient after very late sessions.
