David Coleman: WSOP Bracelet Winner and 2024 GPI Player of the Year
POKER HALL OF FAME
Inducted 2014
David Coleman has developed into one of the most accomplished American high-stakes tournament players of the 2020s. His résumé includes the 2024 Global Poker Index Player of the Year award, a World Series of Poker bracelet, a WPT Alpha8 victory, the 2025 Poker Masters championship and repeated success on the PokerGO Tour.
Coleman's rise was especially notable because his first live tournament title did not arrive until 2024. Once that breakthrough came, he quickly accumulated major victories across several of poker's most competitive high-stakes series.
⠀
Who Is David Coleman?
David Coleman is an American professional poker player from Livingston, New Jersey. His tournament career has been centered primarily on no-limit hold'em, with results ranging from regulated U.S. online poker to World Series of Poker events, European Poker Tour festivals, Triton Poker high rollers and the PokerGO Tour.
The Hendon Mob lists Coleman as a United States player from Livingston, New Jersey. As of September 16, 2026, its database shows $19,630,106 in recorded live tournament earnings and a career-best live cash of $3,113,000.
That earnings figure should be treated as a changing database total rather than a permanent career number. Coleman remained active at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju in September 2026, and recently reported results may take time to appear in lifetime totals.
⠀
From Online Poker to the High-Stakes Live Circuit
Coleman's recorded live tournament career dates to the middle of the 2010s, but much of his early development came online. He competed extensively on New Jersey-regulated sites and later in major international online events.
By 2021, Coleman was producing significant results in both formats. He finished third in a $3,200 WSOP.com Online High Roller for $102,720 and made four final tables during the inaugural PokerGO Cup, including a runner-up finish in the $50,000 event for $455,000.
Those performances established Coleman as a regular in high-stakes tournaments even before he began collecting live titles. His career trajectory increasingly shifted toward large-buy-in events in Las Vegas and on international tours.
⠀
David Coleman's Breakthrough 2024 Season
The defining turning point came in January 2024 at The Venetian Poker Room. Coleman won the $1,600 Card Player Poker Tour Venetian Main Event for $115,989, defeating a 457-entry field for what Card Player reported as his first live tournament victory.
The win opened a remarkable stretch. Days later, Coleman captured a $5,100 PokerGO Tour Kickoff event for $120,150. He continued the run with another PGT Kickoff victory, a $302,400 PokerGO Cup title and a $202,300 U.S. Poker Open win.
His biggest victory of 2024 came at Wynn Las Vegas, where he won the $25,000 WPT Alpha8 Trifecta event for $730,300. The World Poker Tour records the result as an Alpha8 victory rather than a WPT Main Tour title.
Coleman also finished fifth in the 2024 European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event and earned $890,000 for sixth place in the $100,000 Triton Main Event at WSOP Paradise.
Those results carried him to the 2024 Global Poker Index Player of the Year award. The Global Poker Index credited Coleman with 4,383.70 points from his 13 qualifying results, narrowly placing him ahead of Jesse Lonis in the year-long race.

Four Runner-Up Finishes at EPT Barcelona
Coleman produced another unusual high-stakes run at the 2025 European Poker Tour Barcelona festival.
Over roughly one week, he finished runner-up in four high-roller events. The largest was the €100,000 EPT Super High Roller, where he finished second to Leon Sturm for €1,148,755 after a heads-up deal.
His other runner-up finishes during the festival came in the €30,000 Super High Roller Warm-Up, a €20,000 event and the €10,200 Mystery Bounty.
The four second-place results generated more than €1.8 million in combined payouts and reinforced Coleman's ability to compete consistently in fields filled with established high-stakes professionals.
⠀
2025 Poker Masters Champion
Coleman added a major series championship later in 2025.
He began the Poker Masters by winning the first-ever $1 million guaranteed Showcase for $270,000. He then added another cash and finished second in the $25,200 series finale.
Those three results gave Coleman 492 PokerGO Tour points and $657,700 in series earnings, enough to finish first on the Poker Masters leaderboard.
The PokerGO Tour officially crowned Coleman the 2025 Poker Masters champion and awarded him the Purple Jacket and a $25,000 PGT Passport.
⠀
First WSOP Bracelet and Career-Best Score
Coleman's largest career result arrived at the 2025 WSOP Paradise festival in the Bahamas.
He won Event #8, the $125,000 Triton No-Limit Hold'em 7-Handed event, defeating a 99-entry field and earning $3,113,000.
The victory gave Coleman his first World Series of Poker bracelet. Official WSOP results show that he defeated Dominykas Mikolaitis heads-up, with Martin Kabrhel third, Brandon Wilson fourth and Bryn Kenney fifth.
The $3.113 million payout remains Coleman's largest recorded live tournament cash.
According to his current WSOP player profile, Coleman has one bracelet and no WSOP Circuit rings.

David Coleman's 2026 Results
Coleman remained highly active in 2026 rather than slowing after his bracelet victory.
In April, he won the $25,200 finale of the U.S. Poker Open for $420,000 after defeating Kristen Foxen heads-up. The victory gave him his second U.S. Poker Open Golden Eagle trophy and, according to the PokerGO Tour, his sixth career PGT title at the time.
Coleman added another tournament victory in August at the Onyx High Roller Series in Cyprus. He won the $15,300 6-Max event for $270,000.
His September trip to Triton Poker Jeju II produced additional major cashes. Coleman finished fifth in the $25,000 NLH Titi Poker event for $330,000 and later cashed for $340,000 in the $200,000 Triton Invitational.
PokerNews also reported Coleman finishing in the money in the $100,000 Triton Main Event on September 15. Because live earnings databases can lag behind completed tournaments, his published Hendon Mob total should be viewed as the latest listed figure rather than a guaranteed accounting of every result completed during the ongoing Jeju series.
As of September 16, 2026, the official Global Poker Index rankings place Coleman 12th in the world.

Tournament Earnings and Major Titles
Hendon Mob lists Coleman with $19,630,106 in live tournament earnings as of September 16, 2026, making the $19 million milestone one of the clearest measures of how quickly his career accelerated after 2021.
His largest single result is the $3,113,000 earned for winning his first WSOP bracelet at the 2025 WSOP Paradise Triton event.
Coleman's title résumé crosses several major tournament organizations. He owns a WSOP bracelet, a WPT Alpha8 victory, a Poker Masters championship and multiple PokerGO Tour event titles.
He does not have a WPT Main Tour victory listed on his official WPT record. His $730,300 win at Wynn Las Vegas in 2024 came in the tour's Alpha8 high-roller format.
⠀
Playing Profile and Significance
Coleman's results identify him primarily as a high-stakes no-limit hold'em tournament specialist. His strongest results have come in fields with buy-ins ranging from standard championship events to six-figure super high rollers.
His career also reflects the increasingly common path from online poker to the highest levels of the live tournament game. Online volume gave Coleman extensive tournament experience before his live résumé expanded dramatically through PokerGO Tour, WPT, EPT, Triton and WSOP events.
The 2024 GPI Player of the Year award demonstrated sustained performance across an entire calendar year rather than success in a single tournament. His Poker Masters championship and first WSOP bracelet in 2025 then added major titles to a résumé already defined by frequent high-stakes final tables.
Coleman's continued tournament victories and seven-figure-level annual results in 2026 show that his breakthrough was not limited to one season. He remains an active participant in major international high-roller series.
