Bay 101 Shooting Star breakthrough
The World Poker Tour's official final-table report lists Mai with 10,165,000 chips, equal to 254 big blinds when the final table resumes. He moved into the lead late on October 26 after the field fell from ten players to six through consecutive double eliminations.
Mai entered the six-player pause ahead of Chahn Jung, who bagged 9,075,000. The winner's scheduled $470,500 first-place package includes a $10,400 entry into the WPT World Championship. Mai has not yet won the Bay 101 title, and the final payout will depend on the December result.

Recorded results and next step
Card Player reported that Mai's previous largest recorded tournament payout was $4,660 for 51st place in a 2026 RunGood Poker Series event at Thunder Valley Casino Resort. The guaranteed $94,000 Bay 101 minimum therefore marks a substantial new recorded score. These figures describe gross tournament prizes, not profit.
The December 15 televised final table will decide whether Mai converts his chip lead into a WPT championship. This profile will be updated after the result is official.
