Stephen Song has developed one of the strongest tournament résumés among his generation of American poker professionals. His career includes a World Series of Poker bracelet, six WSOP Circuit rings, the 2022 WPT Prime Championship, the 2024 European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event title and the 2022 Global Poker Index Player of the Year award.

As of September 21, 2026, Hendon Mob lists Song with $11,571,620 in live tournament earnings. His results stretch from large-field mid-stakes tournaments to major international championships and high rollers, giving him a record built across several levels of tournament poker.

⠀

Who Is Stephen Song?

Stephen Song is an American professional poker player who grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut. Hendon Mob lists his birthplace as New York, New York, and his residence as Greenwich.

Song became interested in poker at a young age after watching the game on television and playing with his father. In a 2023 interview with the Stamford Advocate, he said he also played regularly with friends while attending Greenwich High School. He left college during his first year to pursue poker professionally.

His early years as a professional were centered largely on tournament poker in the United States. Results on regional tours and the WSOP Circuit eventually developed into success at the World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour, European Poker Tour and high-roller events around the world.

⠀

Stephen Song’s Early Poker Career

Song began recording significant live tournament results during the second half of the 2010s. His progress accelerated on the WSOP Circuit, where he established himself as a regular tournament contender before winning a bracelet on poker’s biggest annual stage.

His first WSOP Circuit ring came in 2018 at Harveys Lake Tahoe. By the time he arrived at the 2019 World Series of Poker, he already owned two Circuit rings.

That summer produced the first major championship of his career.

⠀

Stephen Song’s WSOP Bracelet

Song won his first World Series of Poker bracelet on June 13, 2019, in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em event.

According to the official WSOP recap, Song defeated a field of 2,477 entries and earned $341,854. The victory established him as a WSOP bracelet winner only a few years into his professional tournament career.

Song continued building his WSOP résumé after that breakthrough. He finished runner-up in the $5,000 six-handed no-limit hold’em event at the 2022 WSOP for $476,990 and made a deep run in the 2024 WSOP Main Event, finishing 57th for $160,000.

As checked on October 19, 2026, Song’s WSOP player profile lists:

  • One WSOP bracelet

  • Six WSOP Circuit rings

  • 46 final tables in the database’s All Brands view

  • 195 cashes in that All Brands view

  • $6,807,593 in earnings in that All Brands view

The All Brands figures include results from other tournament organizations and should not be described as WSOP-and-Circuit-only totals. They also differ in coverage from Hendon Mob’s live tournament earnings total.

⠀

Six WSOP Circuit Rings

Song’s success on the WSOP Circuit has remained an important part of his career.

He entered November 2023 with three Circuit rings before winning three more in a short span. Song captured the WSOP Circuit Grand Victoria Main Event for $183,508 and then won two events at Harrah’s Cherokee, including a $1,100 no-limit hold’em tournament for $102,954 and a $2,200 high roller for $72,583.

Those victories increased his career total to six rings, the figure still listed by WSOP as of September 2026.

The combination of a bracelet and multiple Circuit championships reflects Song’s ability to produce results in both large summer fields and year-round regional tournament series.

⠀

2022 GPI Player of the Year

The 2022 season marked another major step in Song’s career.

The Global Poker Index recognized Song as both its 2022 Player of the Year and its 2022 Mid-Major Player of the Year.

His season included repeated final-table appearances and several major scores. Song finished second in the $5,000 six-handed no-limit hold’em event at the WSOP for $476,990 and continued accumulating results throughout the year.

He secured one of the most important victories of his career in December.

⠀

Stephen Song Wins the WPT Prime Championship

Song won the inaugural WPT Prime Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December 2022.

The $1,100 tournament attracted 5,430 entries. Song defeated Lara Eisenberg heads-up to collect $712,650, according to the World Poker Tour.

The victory provided a defining finish to his Player of the Year season and gave Song one of the signature titles on his résumé.

The tournament was held at Wynn Las Vegas, a property covered in the Angry Aces Poker Wynn Las Vegas Poker Room Guide.

Song has continued playing WPT events since the victory. The WPT distinguishes its Prime tour from its Main Tour, and its player records do not list Song with a WPT Main Tour championship. His major WPT title is the 2022 WPT Prime Championship.

⠀

2024 EPT Barcelona Main Event Champion

Song added an international championship to his résumé in September 2024 by winning the European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event.

The €5,300 Main Event drew 1,975 total entries, including re-entries, and generated a €9,578,750 prize pool. Song entered the six-player final table as the chip leader and ultimately defeated Andrew Hulme heads-up after the finalists agreed to a deal.

Song received €1,290,386 for the victory.

Hendon Mob converts that score to $1,425,651 for its historical database, making the Barcelona championship Song’s largest recorded live tournament cash as of September 2026.

The victory came at the 20th-anniversary edition of EPT Barcelona. Song had already accumulated millions of dollars in live tournament results before arriving at the final table, but the win gave him his first EPT Main Event championship.

The final table also included David Coleman, Rania Nasreddine, Marius-Catalin Pertea and Boris Kuzmanovic.

PokerStars’ official EPT Barcelona coverage documented Song’s championship run and the €1.29 million first-place payout.

⠀

NAPT Super High Roller Victory

Song followed the EPT Barcelona victory with another major PokerStars title only two months later.

In November 2024, he won the $25,000 North American Poker Tour Super High Roller at Resorts World Las Vegas. The tournament attracted 60 entries and created a $1,440,600 prize pool.

Song defeated Sean Winter heads-up and earned $439,400.

The result reinforced a particularly strong stretch of Song’s career in which he moved successfully between major-field championships and high-stakes tournaments.

⠀

Stephen Song’s 2025 Success in Jeju

Song continued adding international victories in 2025.

At The Lord Poker Tournament in Jeju, South Korea, he won the $15,000 Main Event in May. The tournament recorded 191 entries and a $3 million prize pool, with Song earning $750,000 for first place.

Two days later, he won the series’ $20,000 eight-handed event for another $204,000.

Those back-to-back victories produced $954,000 in first-place payouts during the same Jeju festival and provided further evidence that Song’s tournament success was not limited to American events.

⠀

Stephen Song’s Career Earnings

As of September 21, 2026, Hendon Mob lists Stephen Song with $11,571,620 in live tournament earnings.

Tournament earnings databases change whenever new results are added, so the figure should be treated as a current snapshot rather than a permanent career total. Recorded live earnings are gross tournament payouts rather than career profit, before buy-ins, expenses, taxes or staking arrangements.

His largest recorded live cash remains the $1,425,651 U.S.-dollar equivalent Hendon Mob assigns to his €1,290,386 first-place prize from the 2024 EPT Barcelona Main Event.

Other major scores include:

  • $750,000 for winning the 2025 TLPT Jeju $15,000 Main Event

  • $439,400 for winning the 2024 NAPT Las Vegas $25,000 Super High Roller

  • $341,854 for winning his 2019 WSOP bracelet

These results span large-field championships, high rollers and major international festivals.

⠀

Stephen Song’s Playing Style and Tournament Reputation

Song is primarily known as a no-limit hold’em tournament professional with experience across a wide range of buy-in levels.

His results show an unusual breadth of tournament success. He has won Circuit events, a large-field WSOP bracelet event, the WPT Prime Championship, an EPT Main Event and high-roller tournaments.

Song has also emphasized adaptability and composure when discussing tournament poker. In his 2023 Stamford Advocate interview, he described adaptability and remaining level-headed as important qualities for successful players and said his focus at the table is generally on making the best available decision rather than becoming consumed by short-term results.

That approach fits a career in which he has repeatedly moved between different tournament environments, field sizes and stakes.

Why Stephen Song Matters in Poker

Song’s career stands out because his major accomplishments have come in several distinct tournament environments.

He first built his reputation on the WSOP Circuit, progressed to a WSOP bracelet, earned a season-long GPI Player of the Year award, won one of the largest WPT Prime events ever held and then added an EPT Main Event championship.

His results in later high rollers and international tournaments have extended that résumé rather than leaving his success concentrated in one standout season.
