Wouter Beltz Wins APPT Championship for PHP 11,902,000 After Deal

Wouter Beltz won the 2026 APPT Championship at Okada Manila on October 19, collecting PHP 11,902,000 after a heads-up deal with Sung Jin Yun. The Dutch player finished ahead of a 479-entry field in the festival’s headline tournament.
The deal changed the final payouts
Beltz and Yun settled part of the prize money before deciding the title. Somuchpoker’s on-site report says the agreement secured PHP 9,902,000 for Beltz and PHP 9,538,000 for Yun, leaving PHP 2 million and the APPT Shard Trophy to play for.
Beltz won the remaining contest, adding that PHP 2 million to his guaranteed share. Yun received PHP 9,538,000. The PHP 11,902,000 figure is therefore Beltz’s reported actual award after the deal, rather than the tournament’s original advertised first prize.
SpadePoker’s result recap lists the same deal-adjusted payouts. All amounts here are Philippine pesos.
Championship closed the Manila festival
The official PokerStars Live event page placed the PHP 165,000 Championship on October 15–19 at the Coral Lounge inside Okada Manila. The wider festival ran October 8–19; those festival dates include competitions beyond the Championship itself.
Beltz began the nine-player final table with 7,645,000 chips, according to Somuchpoker. He converted that lead into the title, while Yun progressed from fourth in chips at the start of the final table to the runner-up finish.
The result adds an APPT Championship title to Beltz’s European tournament record. His earlier successes include two victories in the Master Classics of Poker EUR 1,650 Re-entry event, in 2022 and 2024, as documented by Pokeren.nl.
