Pete Chen Wins TMT Mini Main for TWD 1,160,000
Pete Chen won the TMT Championship Mini Main in Taipei on October 21, 2026, earning TWD 1,160,000. The Taiwanese professional finished ahead of a 606-entry field in the TWD 15,000 tournament at CTP Asia Poker Arena.

The result adds a home-country title to a career that includes the 2017 WPT Beijing championship. It also comes during a festival with two distinct centerpieces: the completed Mini Main and a separate, higher-buy-in Main Event.
A Prize Pool Close to Twice the Guarantee
CTP’s official schedule lists a TWD 4 million guarantee for the Mini Main. Four starting flights generated a TWD 7,853,760 prize pool, giving the tournament substantially more money to distribute than its advertised minimum.
The event’s 93 paid places extended down to TWD 30,000. Figures here are New Taiwan dollars; they are not U.S. dollar payouts.
Chen Converts His Final-Day Stack
SoMuchPoker’s on-site report places Chen seventh among the 93 returning players, with 848,000 chips. He moved from that starting position to the title.
Malaysia’s Kok Wei Teoh finished second for TWD 820,000. The organizer’s payout sheet lists the winner under his formal name, Yen Han Chen.
The Main Event Is a Separate Tournament
TMT Championship 2026 runs October 16–26. Its TWD 35,000 Main Event has a TWD 30 million guarantee, with starting flights scheduled for October 22–24 and the final day on October 26.
Chen’s Mini Main victory therefore settles one title while the festival’s larger-buy-in championship remains to be decided.
